Sorry - I've spent the last three days watching nearly the entire series two of Buffy. It's always been my favourite season and I had an urge to rewatch it after the final episode. Buffy killing Angel still makes me cry as much as it did back when I first saw it. *blushes* And now I have to watch series THREE to see Angel come back. God I'm glad I have a brother who buys the DVDs. He is useful after all! ^_~ Also, hence the icon - I wanted a Drusilla one but this was the only quote I could remember. Freaky.
Funny turn of events earlier...... I was walking home after catching the bus and realised.... I hadn't got my house key. No one was home and no one was going to be home for about two hours. So, I bought a drink from the shop, walked home, tried to front door, locked as I expected. Climbed over the back gate (interesting experience; I'm positive I still have spiderweb in my hair) and dropped down in one of the chairs on the patio. I'd have been fine sitting there a few hours with my book because it's gorgeously warm today, but I looked at the back door and thought "is it open?" Naturally it was a stupid idea - my family had been out all day; of course it'd be locked. But if I sat there for two hours next to an unlocked door I'd look really foolish. So I tried the door..... and it wasn't locked. Hence me being able to sit here now and not a few feet away outside. Heh. Not good that we left the door open; but was good because I could get in. ^_____^
I sat on the library field for three hours today and got SUNBURNT. I look like a lobster. We were in the shade almost all the time too. -_- The woman's gonna go mental when she gets home because she made me promise to take suntan lotion with me and I forgot. *looks innocent* S'not my fault..... On the plus side it was lovely and warm and I skipped Psychology to read my book some more. I'm debating dropping it anyway - in fact I AM dropping it - so it was fairly pointless me going.
Media sounds good; she's only making us work for three weeks and we're looking at music videos. Classics she's only making us work three weeks and only on background history because she said "If we start chapter one of the Aeneid now you'll have forgotten it by September'. Very true. And English, she's making us work the full four weeks and we have to do an essay and a timeline and a review of 'Shakespeare in Love' to 'prepare' ourselves for Shakespeare next year. Grrr. But, the best news..... Caroline, the Devil-teacher who hates me, is ill and probably won't be back before the end of term, definitely not before Friday. So.... we're having a mystery teacher for this week at least. Sarah voiced the thought lingering in my mind that we might get Martin...... but I'm not even going to hope because if I do they'll chop my hopes up into little pieces, grind them down and throw them in a river by giving us someone as awful as Caroline. *whimpers* Come back Martin..... Pretty please? *sad, puppy eyes*
Speaking of sad puppy eyes, Alyson Hannigan was the cutest thing *ever* in Buffy season two. I was sitting there wondering how Xander was so unbelievably blind. But then Oz came along and Oz is the greatest (Clo loves Oz! ^_~) so I was happy again.
Stupid bloody sunburn... though I got another nice email from someone saying they loved Weyr of the Lost - though rare, those emails really make me happy. This is a fic that I only wrote the Prologue of at first to get rid of the idea - I never meant to write anything else! *happy sigh* So fun. Although they did tell me the links to my fic weren't working on Hobbit Hole formerly known as Hole in the ground, so I'm gonna have to sort that out. MSN hates fics - ittakes half an hour to load the big ones so I'm off to use boomspeed or *something* else just to stop MSN whining. Gggrrr.
Then I'll read my book and watch Buffy and try and work on Lilly's dragon which actually has scales now. Yey. Go me.
