Have two books waiting for me in the porter's lodge. Can I find my fucking library card to go pick them up? No. I lost my student card months ago somewhere in my fucking room. Have my sports centre card with a picture but one of the porters only accepts/whinges about using non-library cards as id. Only, I have this stupid inability to hold onto my stupid library card for more than five stupid seconds. For godssake.

I swear, the post system is something I will definitely not miss about university.

edit: I KNEW IT. Every time I lose something, I bitch about it on LiveJournal and the instant I hit send, will think of somewhere else it could be. And always, always it's there (pocket of the coat I wore a few days ago).

This does not lessen my annoyance with the way we collect our post though. Seriously, for the amount of money they waste at this university, they could hire a couple of campus postmen and install some bloody letterboxes.

edit: All that, all those flights of stairs and the freezing cold and was there a porter there? No. Because the world is against me today. I'm going to make some coffee and eat the chocolate I bought for later and just generally sulk about the unfairness of it all.

Or maybe watch the start of Stargate season 8. Oooooo. Can totally do that and sulk at the same time.

I did think as I sat down to write this entry, "I should totally do this every time I lose something." It does work without fail. *snuggles back*

*kicks it too* I hate collecting my mail from other people. Especially when I order about eight or nine course books and feel really stupid when I have to pick them all up at once.

*kicks it more to make it change* That's kinda stupid,. They should be allowed to deliver stuff straight to you without having to go through porters.
