Post a comment and I will:

1) Tell you why I friended you
2) Associate you with a song/movie
3) Tell a random fact about you
4) Tell a first memory about you
5) Associate you with an animal/fruit
6) Ask something I've always wanted to know about you
7) You MUST spread this disease in your LJ

I'm too full of cheeseburger. Ngh.

edit: Dudes, I wasn't expecting to take so long answering this. ^_^ I have to go finish Creative Writing work but I'll get back to everyone tomorrow morning while I'm yelling at the Andy/Marat match.

edit: Oops, I just read the other meme I did over on [livejournal.com profile] scoobydumblonde's journal and I was supposed to post the answers here. *facepalm* So

1. Why is Roger your favourite?
1. In the beginning... when I first started watching tennis in 2004, he had a ponytail and at the time, I was going through a craze on them. That got me watching and the more I watched, the more I began to see how beautifully he played and now, now I know he's an unbelievable tennis player and he's nice (no matter what people say, they'll never convince me otherwise about that) and smart but, underneath the expensive clothes and calm facade, he's a total dork. And I have a soft spot for dorks. :)

2. As an English major, what exactly do you plan to do with your degree after you graduate/finish?
2. I'm honestly not exactly sure. I want to write books one day but I want experience and to travel before I do that. I guess I'd like to work in certain kinds of journalism -- for sci-fi magazines, for TV companies, maybe in some capacity for something like the BBC doing behind the scenes stuff. English is pretty flexible so I'm hoping to take advantage of that, especially if I get a good final grade.

3. If you could change one thing in the past, and the way things are/will be wouldn't be impacted, what would it be?
3. Um... tough question. :) I think perhaps I would've taken an A-Level (our in-between high school and university exams) in Italian instead of Psychology, so I could've had a useful skill now instead of something I don't use.

4. If you could choose any three people in the world to have a meal with and talk to, who would they be, and why? (must be living)
4. You, Merc and Lilly. You're the Inmates I still feel closest too and you're the people I feel the closest too without having met that I've felt to anyone in my life. (I think that sentence made sense. Hm.) And because I've wanted to meet you all for years and to get to sit down with you and talk would be better than anything. Even getting to have a meal with Roger. ;)

5. Other than Wimbledon, if you could go to any tournament and stay for the whole two weeks and watch all of your favourites' matches, which tournament, who would you go see, and who would you want with you most?
5. Australian Open, because I'm realising this year that it's my favourite tournament after Wimbledon. Tennis is still new, I'm still excited about it and it's where I have some of my best memories of Roger, after Wimbledon. I'd go see all of Roger and Andy's matches, plus any of Mardy's and Marat's that didn't clash. And I'd want you and Merc with me, to squee over the awesome and the slashy.

And, ze meme:

1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will update your journal with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

1) Because you love fun socks and were generally awesome in creative writing. (Plus I love finding RL people with LJs. :) )
2) Oh, um... possibly Greyhound by Under the Attic, because of the travelling theme and wondering about someone left behind. It's a bit melancholy but somehow always makes me feel better for listening to it. :)
3) Hm. Your first comment to me that wasn't about writing was to compliment my socks.
4) I remember when I first heard you speak, I thought "Hey cool! An American!" and was really pleased because the Americans I'd been in writing seminars with before were always fantastic at commenting.
5) Animal/fruit... I think a golden Labrador, because that's how I always pictured your dog Cinnamon when you wrote about her.
6) Was there something particular that made you choose Lancaster to study at and if so, what was it?

Good luck with yours too! It's fun. :)

1) Heh, where do I start? To begin with, because you're an Inmate, because I didn't know you very well beyond that but now I'm very, very glad I did. :)
2) For some reason, this was hard -- more because of too much choice than too little. One thought was Breakfast at Tiffanys by Deep Blue Something, because tennis was such a random thing to us together after we were drifting apart as friends, or, though it sounds terribly sappy, Thank You by Dido because I can't imagine what these last few years would've been like without being friends with you and you always, always manage to cheer me up, even if it's just by being there.
3) You love candy (though you only posted that a few days ago, so it's a cop-out). Hm. You have quite swirly handwriting. :)
4) Oh crikey, that's going back a bit. *tries to think* Maybe that I didn't understand your username at first, until it suddenly hit me and I was like "Duh! *facepalm*" And one of the first when we really started becoming friends-friends, that I was so happy one of the Inmates was taking an interest in my random new obsession with tennis.
5) I'm starting to hate this one, because so random! But... probably a cat, because I remember you talking about them more than other animals. Or possibly some sort of small, hyperactive monkey because you always have so much energy. ;)
6) Hm. What do you like/dislike about Montana and what is it that makes you not want to go back?

1. *grin* We had a lot to start with, didn't we?
2. I love Breakfast at Tiffanys. And *sniffles* Okay, make me cry why don't you? *snuggles you tight*
3. Ahahahaha. I have swirly handwriting? I never realized that.
4. scoobydumblonde? Heee. I get a lot of questions about why that's my name. *grin* It's all your fault... well, yours a Halcyon's. *still wants Datta*
5. *grin* It is totally random. Hee. I do love cats. small, hyperactive monkey I'm not sure that's a compliment there... :-P
6. Montana... I love Montana because it is beautiful. The scenery is just amazing and they've got some of the best National Parks around. I love going to Glacier and some of my happiest memories are there with my mom. What I dislike about it is that it's so damn remote. It feels like a separate country sometimes, and traveling for 3 hours and only seeing wheatfields? Not really a lot of fun. :-) But I guess it's the fact that you do have to travel like three hours to go to a real mall (which still isn't a real mall, imo) or go to a real movie theater that bugged me most. I like having those things nearby to go to as often as possible. (well, when I have money that is.)

Well, I wanted to study somewhere where English was spoken. And I dislike big cities so I didn't want to go to London and I dislike big schools. And I wanted there to be internet in the bedrooms. So I pretty much came up with Lancaster from the list. Plus I wanted to be a writing minor before I went abroad. (Which isn't going to work out anymore. Boo!)

PS- I forgot to post it before but I'm definitely posting it now!

1) To begin with, because you wrote that really amazing Andy/Roger fic way back, which I think was how I first met you. And then you did so many awesome things with [livejournal.com profile] tennisslash. :)
2) On the Run by Natalie Imbruglia, which I think was on one of your compilations and so reminds me of you every time I hear it. It's a very pretty song.
3) You know far more about the most popular sport in my country than I do.
4) I remember being so happy that a new, good writer had joined in the tennis slash fandom which was still so small back then.
5) Spaniels, because I see one and think of you and Star. ^_^
6) Do you have a middle name?
