Which, when everyone laughed at me when I was trying to insist I needed to get to the Nationwide to transfer money into my account to buy it yesterday before it sold out? Yeah. Is really fucking irritating. Really really really fucking irritating. Even more so when I could've bought it weeks ago if my dumb brother had just bothered to let me know he was giving me money instead of play.com vouchers for Christmas.
I cannot afford £180 for the complete collection. No way, not ever. Which means buying them all individually and...
And I was so not in the fucking mood for this tonight. Not at all.
edit: Almost bought the first season to compensate for the disappointment just now, but at play's current prices that's going to end up costing me abut $41 more for the set and that's stupid. I've got £90 of birthday/Christmas money combined (um, ignoring how much I spent in Cardiff today and yesterday. Yes. That didn't happen, honest) and if I'm going to buy one, I may as well buy the whole set because once I've got one, I'd be doomed to waste that extra £41. Which would nark at me something awful.
So. Shakespeare essay to do when I get back to Lancaster. My bribery for getting it researched, written and proof-read before the very last minute like I usually do essays -- the complete collection boxset. I'll just have to be very, very good for the rest of term (though to be honest, I would've spent £110 on the other one with the Peacekeeper Wars extra and I'm willing to bet I'd spend at least £70 over the ten weeks on going out clubbing. Which I don't do, so.)
In other news of DVDs, how can the BBC justify having a recommended retail price of £24.99 for *five episodes* of Torchwood? I know play has it for £17 but even that's a serious pushing of their luck. God, do they really think it's that good? Have they watched the first five episodes?
