This morning's -- okay, yesterday morning's now -- Countryfile had a piece on the decline in songbirds in the UK.
We currently have what seems to be gale-force winds doing their damndest to rip our windows out.
The link between these two things? I just opened my window to see how strong the wind actually was and there are *birds singing*. In gale-force winds, at 4am, when sunrise is officially not until 7:59am here.
Clearly, they're dying out of utter stupidity. Because honestly, nothing with the slightest ounce of sense should be out *singing* in this weather.
