edit: Playing around further on Wikipedia -- because it's not like I have *work* I should be doing -- apparently Andy Serkis used to be a Lancaster student. Gollum studied at my university. Dude. That's a whole world of weird. We gave Ian McKellan some sort of degree too; they showed us a video of him quoting Shakespeare in his acceptance speech.

Since we seem to attract Rings actors, we'd -- I'd -- like *Viggo Mortenson* next please. Or Billy Boyd. Or Dom because it'd give me something to bribe Holly with. Anytime in the next year would be nice please, as student or guest lecturer or *anything* really.

I am THISCLOSE to asking for a prospectus, even though I can't afford a Masters without funding. There aren't many things that would be that awesome to do. (Seriously, if neither of us can afford it now? We should wait until we're rich in a few years then both take a year out and do it together. There'd be no words to describe how fun it'd be.)

I know. It's one of those things where you'd have to keep pinching yourself to believe the unbelievableness.

We'll be doing them a service, testing the flammability of the uni free of charge. They should thank us.
