So. There's currently a tent set up on our back lawn. For me to sleep in tonight. Voluntarily, not because my parents are kicking me out. ;-) Hey if it gets me away from the heat of my damn room, I'm all for it.

Still, there's that bogglement of *tent* and *voluntary sleeping outside* that's just, well, weird.

LMAO, but is it a pink tent? ;)

Nah, it's colder outside. My room's the hottest room in the house so it's the sofa or outside and I get woken up at 7am by the 'rents if I go for the sofa. ;) Tent is actually looking like an almost sane option. Sort of.

Nope, plain old blue. The guy ropes are neon yellow though, if that helps. ;) Casper's trying to eat them.

That's just crazy. How can your room be hottest? Don't you have a fan? Or a/c?

We're a semi-detached house, so my room only has one outer wall and it makes it real hot. Haven't got round to buying a fan yet (dammit, should've done today) and when I can stop laughing, I'll say that a veryveryvery tiny minority of hourses in Britain have air con. Most of them probably belonging to millionaires. ;) It usually doesn't get hot enough over here to need it.

Ah, I see. Silly rabbit, fans are your friends! And oh. I did not know that. Well, I knew it didn't get that hot over there usually, but... dude, most houses here have a/c. It's like almost a requirement. says the girl who's lived in mostly HOT places her whole life.

I do need to get one, if I can find somewhere to put it. Nope, we're pretty much air con free housing-wise over here. *sighs* Most shops have it now but not even all those. Of all the people I know, including the rich ones, I know... one person with air con at home and that's only in the one room. We usually have about one month of the year when we need it, so it's a waste of money. Could definitely be doing with it this summer though. -_- Record-breaking temperatures are not so fun. I could so not live in hot places. Right now I'm seriously considering moving to Iceland.

*giggles* Silly kitty. We must somehow obtain a 3-4 person pink tent by next year...

We must. Though, we might be better off with two two person ones. :-/ I know it's not as fun but mine's a two-person that fits into a neat little bag and it's still heavy enough to have your arms aching if you carry it for any length of time. A 3-4 might flatten us.

Fans are good. Mine broke and I miss it!! I cannot imagine not walking into every store I've ever set foot in and freezing half to death 'cause they keep 'em so cold. You're all very weird! ;-) I thought that by living here, I'd get away from teh hot, but no such luck. And shouldn't that be Greenland? *ponders* Hell, I say we set up house at the North Pole.

True :/ Oh well, I doubt we'll be sleeping much that night anyway. I forsee much giggling and being hyper.

They really are. Ack, things breaking is so annoying. -_- Especially in hot weather when we need *something* to help. *giggles* I think after this summer air conditioning's going to be more of a priority maybe, though they were on the radio yesterday bitching about enviromental impact. I'd love to have air con everywhere. *wistful* The only cafes we have in town are too hot in this weather. They should encourage people to move away from the heat, because it's impossible to work in. -_- Greenland would also be shiny. :D (I just want to go to Iceland ;) ) North Pole... *drifts off into imagining the cold*

*giggles* Very much giggling and hyperness. (Though, they wake you up five in the morning, so we might not be getting any sleep. ;) )

Especially as it's been easily 1000 here -- farenheit of course for over a week. And it's only very slowly going down and I'm melting! It's funny, a/c is one of the reasons for global warming, and yet we need them now more than ever, so asking people to give them up is just insanity talking! Even the buses are cold! though to be honest, they're still at about 750, but compared to a hundred, that's chump change. :-) They really should, but then the ice caps would get too crowded and the poor polar bears and penguins would have to go live in the heat. Mmmm, cold. I want cold!
