Just had a random giant greyhound in the house. First thing I know about it, I look up from the sofa to see this big brown dog disappearing in the kitchen door and my mother -- not the world's most ardent dog lover, it must be said -- very carefully calling-not-yelling for me from outside as this random -- absolutely *huge* -- dog wanders up our hallway. The little boy who must've been out walking him was extremely sheepish as he came in to help catch him; I apologised for my mother's complete lack of trying to make conversation as we cornered Greyhound long enough to get the lead on him and asked the dog's name but I think his main objective was to just get the dog and get out with minimal embarrassment. He must've let him off the lead or the dog wriggled out of it and that was it, he was off. Bless.

Funny though. :D Now if one of the riders who go past can 'lose' their horse long enough for it to come in the garden...
