So. Me and [livejournal.com profile] wolves8 did nothing all day and then veged -- vegged? To lay like vegetables anyway -- out with cheeseburgers and played with the random music I have on my computer. Which is exceedingly random, as will be demonstrated in a second. Then we went to take pictures of the very pretty sunset and also to walk to make us feel like we'd done some exercise today, only we ended up stopping at the shop for cookies thus negating all existence the point of the walk. But *cookies*. Anything negated by cookies can't have been worth having in the first place.

This is my hectic student life. Sunsets and cookies. Nothing will ever be this good again.

And as for the random music, I found this on Illegal Student Network the other day; Smells Like Nirvana - Weird Al Yankovic. Pure genius.

My life is so boring right now but I really don't care. ^_^

edit: Because I idly followed a link from [livejournal.com profile] seperis this morning, without expecting it to come to much and as a result I've spent a good three or four hours off today trawling through this in fascination - the msscribe fandom history report going on over on charlottelennox. It's worth the read even if soley for the stunning amount of work she must've put into it. All fandom history should be chronicled like this and then possibly published in some book some day so the world in fifty years can look back and go "WTF you crazy 21st century internets people?"

edit: Huh, I've done more spammy-sort-of-posts today than I have since... probably since I was revising. Spam spam spammity spam!

N.B. You know, I think I heard on the radio the other day that the guy who invented Spam -- the meaty-food-y-ish product -- was trying to copyright the term 'spam' so it can't be used in any other context and by internet companies and such. Which is just silly. You might as well try to copyright "WTF" or "my hed iz pastde on yay".

edit: Oh and I watched my first -- and probably only -- World Cup football today as I was taking a short cut through the food court (they had it up on the big screen and I couldn't help thinking how wasted it was on the huge empty room when something like half my flist would probably love it). I caught all of five seconds and all I noticed was that Switzerland were winning.

It made me happy because somewhere in the world, (probably around just 240 miles or so south of me actually) Roger was probably pretty damn happy about it too. Which is a slightly pathetic reason to be happy about it but the guy has had a tough few months, not helped by his apparent ability to stick both feet firmly in his mouth at every opportunity. If he's happy he doesn't say dumb things, which means fandom hates him a little less, which in turn makes me happy. If it takes me supporting Switzerland in the World Cup to get there then damn, that's just what I'll have to do.
