I SPIT ON THEM!
Jun. 17th, 2006 08:57 pmGreatly amused by this week's Doctor Who. Okay so it was somewhat WTFish but it had Marc Warren in it which gives me warm fuzzies. Apparently, in the words of
calapine, "oghasgoneexplodeylikewoah" which sounds hilarious and I think wandering over to point and laugh is next on the agenda. If I can remember my GODDAMN PASSWORD. I hate that you have to sign in to read the forums because I don't go there often enough to remember. Worth it for the hilarity though.
Wonder if it's worth betting on something from there showing up on f_w anytime soon...
Tennis hugely disappointed me today. Usually when I have a few matches with certain people I want to win it works out around 50/50 and I'm averagely happy but today both Timmy and Andy lost. -_- And while it was Andy's own fault, that was Timmy's match all the way from the second set and if Lleyton hadn't shown his complete lack of class AGAIN, we'd have Timmy in the final tomorrow. I'm sorry to any Lleyton fans but he pissed me off beyond belief today and that's it, I've given up trying to like him. At all. Everytime I try he only ends up disappointing me. Also, that linesperson should be ceremoniously shot at dawn, along with the utterly useless umpire.
Andy, I have no words for other than please, for godssake, don't play like that at Wimbledon. James... this was the first time I've watched an entire match of his and... I have to admit, I liked him. *hides from
kindoftrouble* I know, I know, he beat Andy which is akin to butchering small furry animals in the book of Unforgivables but he played some absolutely beautiful tennis to do it. Andy would've had to play a match and a half to beat him today. And I figure hey, I gave Lleyton chance after chance so it's only fair to do the same for Blake. Unless someone can tell me that he actually butchers small furry animals in his spare time? In which case, support duly retracted.
But no, I won't be watching the final tomorrow. Woe. It was nice to care about tennis again, now my grass court snobbery is being indulged for the entire next three weeks. Gee, what a long grass season. Sarcasm? What sarcasm?
We cannot take over the ATP soon enough.
Would also like to point out that my mother, once again, proved her utter incompetence by calling during Doctor Who. And then *kept talking* every time I repeated "DOCTOR WHO IS ON, FOR GODSSAKE WOMAN." In future, I'm going to unplug my phone. Oh no wait, I'm going to be at home for the next four months. ...Dammit.

Although, it does give me fic ideas. Poor Andymuse... he goes through trauma for me.

Date: 2006-06-17 09:42 pm (UTC)That does lose him major brownie points but honestly... I think a lot of people would have beaten Andy today. Wherever his head was, it didn't seem to be on court.
He really does but it gets us angsty fic so we love it. :) Poor baby.

Date: 2006-06-17 09:48 pm (UTC)Andy was just not there. It is actually the reasoning behind my fic.

Date: 2006-06-18 09:14 am (UTC)I like your reasoning. I'd much rather think he wasn't there because of Mardy than for no apparent reason at all, because that would be worrying. >_

Date: 2006-06-18 09:29 am (UTC)I was hiding behind my hands for most of the second set because it was just painful. Made me laugh too. ^_^ But right now he needs something and if he has to go through every old player as a coach to find it then go for it. Though I'd secretly love to see Johnny Mac coach him for a while, just for the hilarity.

Date: 2006-06-18 09:33 am (UTC)It's sad but not as sad as not knowing why Andy's so inconsistent. :( At least this way there's hope for Mardy to get some sense and go running back to him.
