Greatly amused by this week's Doctor Who. Okay so it was somewhat WTFish but it had Marc Warren in it which gives me warm fuzzies. Apparently, in the words of [livejournal.com profile] calapine, "oghasgoneexplodeylikewoah" which sounds hilarious and I think wandering over to point and laugh is next on the agenda. If I can remember my GODDAMN PASSWORD. I hate that you have to sign in to read the forums because I don't go there often enough to remember. Worth it for the hilarity though.

Wonder if it's worth betting on something from there showing up on f_w anytime soon...

Tennis hugely disappointed me today. Usually when I have a few matches with certain people I want to win it works out around 50/50 and I'm averagely happy but today both Timmy and Andy lost. -_- And while it was Andy's own fault, that was Timmy's match all the way from the second set and if Lleyton hadn't shown his complete lack of class AGAIN, we'd have Timmy in the final tomorrow. I'm sorry to any Lleyton fans but he pissed me off beyond belief today and that's it, I've given up trying to like him. At all. Everytime I try he only ends up disappointing me. Also, that linesperson should be ceremoniously shot at dawn, along with the utterly useless umpire.

Andy, I have no words for other than please, for godssake, don't play like that at Wimbledon. James... this was the first time I've watched an entire match of his and... I have to admit, I liked him. *hides from [livejournal.com profile] kindoftrouble* I know, I know, he beat Andy which is akin to butchering small furry animals in the book of Unforgivables but he played some absolutely beautiful tennis to do it. Andy would've had to play a match and a half to beat him today. And I figure hey, I gave Lleyton chance after chance so it's only fair to do the same for Blake. Unless someone can tell me that he actually butchers small furry animals in his spare time? In which case, support duly retracted.

But no, I won't be watching the final tomorrow. Woe. It was nice to care about tennis again, now my grass court snobbery is being indulged for the entire next three weeks. Gee, what a long grass season. Sarcasm? What sarcasm?

We cannot take over the ATP soon enough.

Would also like to point out that my mother, once again, proved her utter incompetence by calling during Doctor Who. And then *kept talking* every time I repeated "DOCTOR WHO IS ON, FOR GODSSAKE WOMAN." In future, I'm going to unplug my phone. Oh no wait, I'm going to be at home for the next four months. ...Dammit.

The um... Blake supporting people... um... I forget what they were called. At the US Open they called Rafa a fag.

And uh, he beat Andy. And that puts him on my shitlist.

Although, it does give me fic ideas. Poor Andymuse... he goes through trauma for me.

OH! The J-Block.

Why the fuck couldn't I have remembered that four seconds earlier?

Yeah but if I disliked players based on their fans, I'd dislike everyone. I've had Roger fans stop speaking to me when I've told them I support Andy and there're Andy fans who should probably be put on a rocket with no reverse gear and blasted into space for the general good of the human race but I can't hold that against Roger or Andy. Everyone famous has their nutters.

That does lose him major brownie points but honestly... I think a lot of people would have beaten Andy today. Wherever his head was, it didn't seem to be on court.

He really does but it gets us angsty fic so we love it. :) Poor baby.

I know. And I don't dislike him mainly for that. I dislike him because he just annoys me. And because he's slowly gaining on Andy's ranking and I really hate that. I'm so protective of my stupid idiotic boy.

Andy was just not there. It is actually the reasoning behind my fic.

I quite like James. My mother loves him, and he's got such a hard life story and his eyes make me go gaga.

But yis, I feel awful for Andy. I couldn't even watch. I hope he gets a new coach. I heard a rumor about him and Jimmy Connors and it made me laugh. :D

It's not that the J-Block are his fans, they're his friends and family. Judging people on their fans, not right...but when your friends and family are spouting racial and sexual abuse at your 19 year old opponent...you go down in my book if you at least don't try and stop them.

Huh? What? When did this happen?

Which I can't argue with because I dislike Nalbandian on the basis of "He freaks me out", so I can't say anything. ;) I really don't want him to take over as #1 American though. :( That's Andy's. It practically has his *name* on it. Someone else in that spot'd be.... just wrong.

I like your reasoning. I'd much rather think he wasn't there because of Mardy than for no apparent reason at all, because that would be worrying. >_

At the US Open last year against Rafa. See above comment when I said they called him a fag.

Exactly, and by the end of Wimbledon... he could have done it and it worries me so much. It's Andy's position, dammit. No one else should have it, he's had it since likke mid-2003 :( I'd cry. And I will cry. Well, maybe not cry, but I'd feel terrible for Andy, he's worked so hard.

*nods* That's very true. I like my theory, even though it's very sad.

Yeah but my parents have political and slightly homophobic views that I don't share. A friend I had in college stunned me by refusing to speak to another friend because she was a lesbian. There're the nicest people here at uni who've got the most spiteful, shallow best friends imaginable. So I can't really justify putting any blame on Blake for what people around him may've done, especially not in the middle of a huge match when trying to shut them up would've been a farce and, probably, futile. Until Blake himself opens his mouth and says something, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt -- though to use the 'people around him' thing, Andy was so awesomely friendly with him yesterday and I don't think Andy would be that close with anyone horrible.

Mmm, I definitely liked what I saw yesterday. I'll be keeping an eye on him I think. His life story is unbelievable, especially when he's got to being ranked seventh after it all.

I was hiding behind my hands for most of the second set because it was just painful. Made me laugh too. ^_^ But right now he needs something and if he has to go through every old player as a coach to find it then go for it. Though I'd secretly love to see Johnny Mac coach him for a while, just for the hilarity.

:-/ Andy has to do well at Wimbledon this year, more than anyone. I think I'll be more upset if he loses early on than if Roger does (though I might take that back if Roger ends up slitting his wrists. Which is a distinct possiblity). Andy tries so hard and it's not fair that his crappy year has lasted this long. >_< Hopefully Wimbledon'll fix whatever's broken. *crosses fingers*

It's sad but not as sad as not knowing why Andy's so inconsistent. :( At least this way there's hope for Mardy to get some sense and go running back to him.
