And I'm a million different people...
May. 21st, 2006 01:14 pmBecause
kindoftrouble did it and because I'm avoiding any attempt at starting work today. Also, because editing the first part of Marshmallow feels too much like getting involved in something not-work, whereas LJ entries don't.
Take a look at your LJ friends list, then list things you want to say to ten different LJ friends.
DO NOT state who these people are.
DO NOT confirm or deny any "comment speculation".
1. I'm sad that we don't talk at all or even have much of anything in common anymore because you really are fantastic. I have so much respect for your talents as a writer and miss sharing that with you.
2. You're one of the most active people on my flist and I never get tired of your entries, even when I have no idea what you're talking about. You're amazingly funny and sarcastic and not afraid to go all out for something you love. I hope your life just keeps getting better from now on because you deserve it.
3. I met you through someone else and I've always felt a little intimidated by you because you come across as very smart, but at the same time I'd like to get to know you better sometime because you do come across as a great person to be friends with.
4. I miss staying up till stupid hours of the night talking to you, I miss the way you always inspired me to try things as a writer that I would never otherwise have considered and I love that no matter how long it is between the times we talk, I'll adore you just as much as I ever did.
5. I haven't known you as long as I have some other LJ friends but at the same time I feel I know you a lot better. Yet I'm always a little nervous of sticking my foot in my mouth in a really bad way because I think we're both stubborn enough to not back down over something we believe in and we could really offend each other if we're both not willing to be a litle flexible sometimes.
6. We have a lot of history and I love that we're so comfortable with each other, even though we don't get to hang out enough. Also, you never fail to crack me up.
7. There are no words to express how much I appreciate you and adore you. When we first met I didn't expect us to become as close as we have but I'm glad we did because you're an absolutely amazing person.
8. You taught me never to judge until you've known someone long enough to see them at their best and worst and everything in between. Your single-mindness can tire me out sometimes and you demand more than I'm used to but you're also kind and tactful at the best times, which makes you the best kind of friend. I also love listening to your voice, though I don't particulary know why.
9. You terrify me with your intelligence, wit and writing talent that I hope one day to be able to even come *slightly* close to. I don't talk to you because I'd feel very shy and not know what to say that wouldn't make me sound silly but I never skip your entries and love hearing about your life, especially because you tell it so hilariously.
10. You've been on my flist longer than almost anyone and yet I don't know you anywhere near as well as some of the newer people, which I regret because your entries are always cool. They make me feel like I'm peering through a small window onto an interesting person's life but we don't get to see a lot of the stuff around the edges to fill in the gaps. Also, the sheer amount of motivation you have makes me feel guilty for not trying harder at everything.
That um, took a while. o.O I need to go and do some work now, really I do. Especially since I worked out last night that the coursework I've handed in over the last few weeks I wasn't happy with actually totals more than half of my marks for this year and failing is still a very real possiblity. :-/
*wonders if anyone will guess theirs and if she made some of them too obvious*

Wait... maybe I'm the one who demands a lot. *can be demanding*

Date: 2006-05-21 03:12 pm (UTC)Poor lonely Holly. *pets* If you want to do my exam for me on Wednesday then I'll come and keep you entertained? ;) That or brainstorm themes of Great Expectations with me.
*giggles and still says nothing*

Date: 2006-05-21 03:17 pm (UTC)... Yeah, do your work alone ;) Neither of those seems like a fun option. Come see us later. If only for an hour. *begs*
You're driving me (more) insane. I hope you realise that.

Date: 2006-05-21 03:22 pm (UTC)Heh, thanks. ;) Really not so much with the fun. Will try after Top Gear depending on how badly the work's going. Though I think I'm pretty much resigned to it going terribly anyway today.
*looks innocent* I am? Aw. Totally, utterly unintentional. Really. ;) *ducks anything retaliatory thrown at her*
