Apr. 28th, 2006 01:31 pmI have new daffodils. It's surprising how happy this makes me after staring at a bunch of dead ones for days (my mother is never allowed to touch flowers for my room again. "Oh I didn't bother cutting the stems, they'll be fine." Yeah, right). I also have pork pie. Mmmm. Pie. And a whole new bottle of iced tea which I had to ask a nice, *tall* guy to get for me from the back of the top shelf. I AM SO SMALL DAMMIT. People should not be deprived of iced tea soley because of their height. It's abuse. Though, it was a Sainsburys so they do have the excuse of being utterly useless on their side.
Coming back on the bus, I noticed for the first time that there's a house called Halcyon just a few doors down from L's, which made me giggle. The sign's built into the house and I must've passed it a zillion times without noticing. Sigh.
Unfortunately the emergency food trip to town happened later than planned because I started listening to the Doctor Who commentary for 'New Earth' while eating breakfast and then couldn't bear to turn David Tennant off until I'd heard the whole thing. Which meant I kind of left two hours later than I meant to and at this point I should've been working for about an hour and a half already. But! Daffodils. Happiness. And Ibribed gave S chocolate as a thank you for letting me use her room for the second week running to watch Doctor Who so flatmate relations are good. All in all, as long as I now spend the rest of the day eyeball deep in Lolita analysis, I'll be feeling very accomplished.
Which is why the internet is getting unplugged again now and I may call
wolves8 to see if she's in for me to give her the cables. Try not to break the internet without me? *woes*
This song owns me. So very, very much.
