Mar. 1st, 2006 12:45 pm"THE WATER HAS GONE OFF DUE TO A BURST PIPE. THE ONLY WATER WE HAVE IS IN THIS KETTLE. WE HAVE NO IDEA HOW LONG WE'LL BE WITHOUT WATER SO USE WISELY!! IE. NO HOT DRINKS OR MAKING PASTA/RICE."
I'd bet money on S having written that. She does have a flair for the dramatic.
Dydd Gwyl Dewi Hapus to you all too. As you may have gathered, we have no water. Unbelievably, I'd actually *done* all my washing up last night (which hasn't been the case the last week or so) and still have a bottle of Evian on the windowsill that I'm planning to use to make coffee in a little while. I'm more than a little exasperated that S chose to fill the *kettle* with the remaining water because now I can't use it but part of me has always wanted to do it the old fashioned way, heating water in a pan.
Bad news is the fish are starting to plot my untimely demise if I don't clean them out in the next few hours... and we have no water. -_- Why fish? Why can't I have a hamster?
In other news, my St. David's Day daffiodils are looking beautiful, the weather is shiny and I got to sleep in, so despite the lack of shower I'm still at something approaching awake. Which is good since I've just made a mental list of everything I have to do and... wow. I really should start that now. Busy, busy.
No water. My university amazes me. Sigh.
