Watching the figure skating and just listening to Sue Barker talk to some guy about Plushenko, they really *do* make him sound like Roger. Crikey. Replace 'ice' with 'court', 'Russian' with 'Swiss' and it could be the same guy. Maybe the *really* good top guys in all sports do have that something special in common that makes them great. Hhhmm. Maybe Andy should start watching Plushenko for tips too.

Also, ficcing. Ssssh. ;) And trying to work out how best to pimp my OTP in a way I have time to do.

edit: And you know what? I don't care that the British are good at curling; I don't get it as a sport at all. It's frankly bizarre. Trust the British to be good at something obscure and somewhat weird.

Luge? People throwing themselves around at 100+ kmph on those tiny little sleds? Wow but *dude*. I think it proves Pterry's point that there is nothing truly stupid that people will not do.

edit: Had a thought. What's Roger up to this week (Besides scaring me half to death with that picture on his website)? Nothing? No one knows where he is? So...

Maybe he *is* Plushenko.

No wait, hear me out. There's all those theories about him being an alien or a robot right, so what's to say he couldn't be two people? Or even more than two; maybe he's EVERY top level male athlete out there. OMGNOESCONSPIRACY.

*nods* I read her post earlier and went "Plushenko who?" but they really talk about him in the same way as Roger. Unfortunately my mother called me and I missed actually *seeing* him skate. *facepalm* Hopefully I'll catch him again.

Plushenko was a big time skating prodigy. He's practically flawless. I can see the Roger comparison.

I really want to see him skate now. Everyone else looks so good, so if he's that much better then he must be amazing.

It does indeed. ;-) It's taken me this long to de-stress from my day to start writing but hopefully it'll go somewhere. I'm thinking of writing something short after it's finished, because the OTP-pimp thing is going on for the rest of the week isn't it? It's not like everyone doesn't know who my OTP is, so I'm not keeping anyone in suspense. ;-)

I was not actually that impressed! I mean, technically he's flawless, but he really doesn't interprate the music well at all. Or his short program didn't. Technically, he excels though.

Pfft, at least Roger usually lives up to his hype. :( Maybe the freestyle program -- do they do one? -- will be better. The ones who really work with the music are amazing though; the American guy skating to the tune-I-should-know-the-name-of-but-don't was just beautiful.

Heh, I've just been told to be on at 11. ^_^ At least with uni you can nap between lectures if you don't get enough sleep at night. >_< Think of the pretty money though, mm. I'm sure it was only announced yesterday or something, so we've got plenty of time. I was thinking of trying to get a vid finished if I have time, 'cause Andy and Roger are just too sweet together. :) *pokes Holly's inspiration* Work so we can get fic!

I do watch far too much TV with it but it's so worth it with Sky. Especially with BBC and their stupid "Press the red button for more coverage!" thing every ten-damn-seconds, which is driving me nuts. If we were allowed to get Sky in the flats, I think I'd have talked my flat into splitting it and getting a TV in the kitchen by now. *sighs* Sky is awesome.

Roger does almost always live up to his hype. Though there are some matches where he really doesn't. They do a freestyle program. It's on Thursday, so I will be a-watching that. I know who you mean, that guy was fantastic. I love it when their program matches the music, it makes it so much better.

I know. You must be there. I don't get the option of sleeping at my job, sadly, though I guess I could sleep in my lunch hour. I have plans to use that for fic writing though if the muses behave themselves. Money is excellent. Mmm, money. Money also means buying tennis DVDs which means Andy beating Roger. Oooh, vid! I would love to see that. They are totally adorable. My muses just don't want to play nice. I don't know why.

Sky is just awesome. I love my dad for putting our extra Sky box in my room, though it was mainly done so everyone else doesn't have to watch tennis. I hate that, it's so irritating! I'm always like "I KNOW I HAVE SKY THANX". *pets Sky*

Plushenko is more the Nadal of figure skating. In that he was young and brash and is now slightly older and still brash. And distinctly less of the calm Roger-ness, except when he's actually skating, and more manic. And I adore him, although as with Aussie_imp below, I do think Yagudin was better, now Yagudin, he was more your Federer type.
