Feel better than I did earlier. Yay! I'm inclined to think it's as much thanks to the four cups of tea as it is the Nurofen. Tea. Miracle cure of the British. :)

What on earth is going on in the Roger-Tommy match? This is one I wish I could watch because dude, Roger bagelling Tommy then promptly losing the next two sets? If you see Four Horsemen go galloping through the sky, don't be too surprised. ;) Shockingly I'm not bothered that Roger's losing because hey, it's Tommy! With his apparently super-powered new hairstyle that's grown on me since last week. A tiny part of me wants Roger to win this so he still has a chance of a Grand Slam this year -- admit it. It'd get tennis some great news coverage if he did win all four -- but it'd also be nice to see Hasi win. Except for the tiny worry about the people ahead of him. Who would he have to beat, Nalbandian and Ljubicic? My dislike of Ljubicic equals the rest of the world's and is only equalled by my dislike of Nalbandian which is seemingly not echoed by the rest of the world, though that still doesn't change my mind. If I was confident Hasi could win this overall, I'd be cheering him on right now... as it is I'm still a little hesitant. The plot bunny gnawing my leg that needs Roger to lose is definitely swaying me though.

By the way, [livejournal.com profile] kindoftrouble is the devil. Just thought you all should know. ;-) Actually, she DENIES she's the devil but then, if my Victorian lit tutor accused me of spending all the time I should've been reading Middlemarch on Windows Movie maker, I'd deny that too... ;-)

It's all going so wrong. Tommmyyyyy. I wish there's been a reply of the break point, it looked in and it was called out and... sigh.

Ljubicic is EVIL.

Aw Feds. Why is it the moment I started rooting against him, he decides to be his normal self again? That sucks about the point though, it tarnishes the rest of the match if there's a slightly dodgy call. :(

Oh yes. His shiny bald evilness seems unanimously agreed on by tennis fans. :)

Are too. ;-)

I love that you sort of added that on as an afterthought. *giggles*

Maybe you should always root for him. Then he might lose more. I love that Tommy didn't just give up though. (Unlike a certain American. Andy should take notes.) It does, I hate it when there's a dodgy call on a break point. Tommy totally thought it was in and Roger said nothing. :(

Match point. Noooooooooo. *hugs Hasi*

Definitely. I don't know anyone who likes him.

Am not!

Me too. I amuse myself sometimes when I forget I have to be not a devil.

... Now I'm thinking about it, he does have this annoying habit of winning when I'm cheering for the other guy. Example, Andy. (Though the giving up pretty much explains Andy; if he didn't walk out on court expecting Roger to beat him all the time, maybe he'd get somewhere.) That's such a shame when it was a great match too. Sometimes I wish Roger was more like Andy. Remember when he corrected that call back in... was it Rome? and went on to lose the match because of it? Roger's not *entirely* the nice guy underneath if you ask me.

*sighs* Poor Hasi. It would've been awesome to see him win.

It's so annoying that he plays good tennis too. *sighs* He's one person I would be happy to see lsoe forever.

I don't think I want Roger to win the grand slam, cos it makes tennis boring. Maybe he and Andy can win 2 a piece every year, with amnesty to Marat. ;)

OMG JIM COURIER IS EVIL. :p

He does, except Andy's just a headcase. A loveable headcase, but one nonetheless. Andy never used to be like this, I think that loss to Roger at Wimbledon hurt him more than he'd like to admit, because that's really where it all started to go wrong for him. (I know, he just expects Roger to beat him and that's it. I think he just tries to not lose serve too many times.) I agree with Andy on the line call thing, they need something when they're hitting the ball that hard. It was Rome, and I loved him for that, most players wouldn't have done it and I don't think Roger would have. In fact, I can't think of anyone else who would have. When he played Ferrer in Paris he served an ace (Hawkeye confirmed this) and he knew it, Ferrer knew it, but he wouldn't give him the point. People are just not as nice as Andy. And Roger, although he seems nice, I don't think he's exactly who the media make him out to be.

It really would have, but I think Roger has more chance against whoever he faces in the final. So good luck to Roger.

Yep, it is. He should really go back to wherever he came from, because he's going to be top 5 after this. Insanity.

I left for a lecture w/ Roger 2 sets up, come into the lab to check the result and went HUH!?

However much I do love Hasi, I have serious doubts about him beating Ljubicic and...he must be beaten! Preferably, with sticks.

I think I've figured out how I like Roger. I can support him in most matches, apart from there's a select group of people that I like beating him.

A part of me does want Roger to complete the Grand Slam too. Of course another part wants Andy to win Wimbledon and play with confidence against Roger(That's how he beat Roger that one time in TMS Canada 2003. He never lost confidence in his game.)

I so want to see this match. I must say underestimated Mr. Haas. Good job getting Roger to five sets.

And yes I too hate Ljubicic but I saw alot of people in tennis message boards giving him alot of praise and hype so I felt alone in those thoughts. Damn, I didn't realize winning the Davis Cup was that big. Ditto with Nalbandian. He beats Roger for the first time in two years and all of a sudden everyone's like "He could be a rival for Roger." Damn how about actually qualifying for the Master's Cup first, instead of just filling in for Andy when he got that back injury? He should be getting down his knees and thank Mr. Roddick for that chance.

*Feeds plotbunny* So what if Roger won? I thought "Even Heroes" was one of your best stories.

Were you guys talking about the call Tommy contested in the fifth set? If so, ESPN showed the replay and it was definitely out. *Snuggles Tommy* Sorry honey. That was still a good match.

Ooh, okay. We didn't actually get a replay of it. I wish we had. *pets Tommy* It was a very good match. *is currently burning it on DVD*
