Jan. 23rd, 2006 01:08 pmFeel better than I did earlier. Yay! I'm inclined to think it's as much thanks to the four cups of tea as it is the Nurofen. Tea. Miracle cure of the British. :)
What on earth is going on in the Roger-Tommy match? This is one I wish I could watch because dude, Roger bagelling Tommy then promptly losing the next two sets? If you see Four Horsemen go galloping through the sky, don't be too surprised. ;) Shockingly I'm not bothered that Roger's losing because hey, it's Tommy! With his apparently super-powered new hairstyle that's grown on me since last week. A tiny part of me wants Roger to win this so he still has a chance of a Grand Slam this year -- admit it. It'd get tennis some great news coverage if he did win all four -- but it'd also be nice to see Hasi win. Except for the tiny worry about the people ahead of him. Who would he have to beat, Nalbandian and Ljubicic? My dislike of Ljubicic equals the rest of the world's and is only equalled by my dislike of Nalbandian which is seemingly not echoed by the rest of the world, though that still doesn't change my mind. If I was confident Hasi could win this overall, I'd be cheering him on right now... as it is I'm still a little hesitant. The plot bunny gnawing my leg that needs Roger to lose is definitely swaying me though.
By the way,
kindoftrouble is the devil. Just thought you all should know. ;-) Actually, she DENIES she's the devil but then, if my Victorian lit tutor accused me of spending all the time I should've been reading Middlemarch on Windows Movie maker, I'd deny that too... ;-)

Date: 2006-01-23 01:38 pm (UTC)*sighs* Poor Hasi. It would've been awesome to see him win.
It's so annoying that he plays good tennis too. *sighs* He's one person I would be happy to see lsoe forever.

Date: 2006-01-23 01:47 pm (UTC)It really would have, but I think Roger has more chance against whoever he faces in the final. So good luck to Roger.
Yep, it is. He should really go back to wherever he came from, because he's going to be top 5 after this. Insanity.

Date: 2006-01-23 01:57 pm (UTC)However much I do love Hasi, I have serious doubts about him beating Ljubicic and...he must be beaten! Preferably, with sticks.
I think I've figured out how I like Roger. I can support him in most matches, apart from there's a select group of people that I like beating him.

Date: 2006-01-23 06:52 pm (UTC)I so want to see this match. I must say underestimated Mr. Haas. Good job getting Roger to five sets.
And yes I too hate Ljubicic but I saw alot of people in tennis message boards giving him alot of praise and hype so I felt alone in those thoughts. Damn, I didn't realize winning the Davis Cup was that big. Ditto with Nalbandian. He beats Roger for the first time in two years and all of a sudden everyone's like "He could be a rival for Roger." Damn how about actually qualifying for the Master's Cup first, instead of just filling in for Andy when he got that back injury? He should be getting down his knees and thank Mr. Roddick for that chance.
*Feeds plotbunny* So what if Roger won? I thought "Even Heroes" was one of your best stories.
