Hamster really is awesome, he's so willing to make a fool of himself. The box filled with smoke killed me too. :D I love that he kept stepping back to disappear and then coming back again, as if he just couldn't resist dragging the joke out. He couldn't get any cuter.
Hamster vs exercise. There's no point even comparing them; nothing is better than Hamster.
