Ah, waking up to a nasty "Renew your TV licence or burn in hell!! Forever!!! In a special Pit of Other-No-Licence-Holder Scum!!!!" letter. Always a fun way to wake up on Sunday.

I am a little curious as to what they'd have done if it wasn't me in the room anymore, since a lot of people moved off-campus since last year. Probably fined some random stranger for daring to live in a room where the TV licence expired, they're that kind of malicious.

Dammit it's *Christmas*. I don't have the money to be paying their ridiculously overpriced and outdated licence prices and now I'm going to have to. -_- Bastards. Maybe I should join that Anti-Licence campaign, go wave signs outside Parliment and stuff, throw eggs at Tony Blair. If nothing else, it'd be quite fun.

Stupid country. Stupid BBC for being ad-free. Stupid me for buying a licence at *all* last year and giving them an excuse to send me nasty renewal letters. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

edit: There is no sodding number on my licence from last year!! NONE. If you aren't going to tell me where said number is *supposed* to be, then how am I supposed to find it? Oh right I forgot, you don't care because you're stupid.

Oh god I am writing a nasty letter to the licencing company. They are pissing me off beyond belief.

edit: Gggrr. Emailed them to ask where the hell this number is supposed to be and was informed they'll try to get back to me within two working days. Joy. Happiness. If they so much as *think* of fining me in the next two days, I will march right up to Tony Blair myself and pelt him with eggs until he admits the whole system is dumb.

SO. :) How has everyone elses' mornings gone?

They really do pick on students -__-

I got scary "BUY A TV LICENSE OR WE WILL KILL EVERYONE YOU LOVE!!!111!!!!11!11!!1" letter earlier this year and I don't even have a TV.

They really do! Everyone in my flat has had either a 'BUY A LICENCE EVIL-DOER!' letter or a demand that we renew our ones from last year. I think it's terribly unfair -- students are probably the least able to afford licences but all the damn compnies care about it making lots of money off us. :(

I hate that they assume everyone has a TV. One of my flatmates doesn't have one either and she got one of the 'You have no licence, so you're under investigation' letters. It's an utterly insane system.

Yup, all of our flat got the 'under investigation' letter...one of us has a TV license and the rest of us do not have a TV >.<

I think it's because Student housing = an easy target for them. Lots of people w/ limited budgets in one place.
