I know. It don't think it possibly could get any worse for them. And flu is just not fun. (There's also a rumour going around that Roger is going to have to have surgery and will possibly miss Shanghai, which would just be awful.)
WHOA. Back up. Roger having to have surgery?!! o_O Oh please tell me it's just the Times - since I just had to go and dig to find a source when I read that and I really did not want to find it in something as reputable as the *Times* - throwing it in for the shock effect. Bugger. Buggerbuggerbugger/i>. I take back all the times I've grumbled about his matches not being exciting enough; I just want him playing again. :(
Poor Andy too, his best chance to get a few more tournaments in before Shanghai and he gets flu. It makes me think that the tennis season really is too long for them.
Cool. :) I may not friend you back quite just yet, since I'm still trying to sort out how to keep up with uni and my f-list as it is. Once I've got it all under control, I'll catch up with everyone who's friended me. :)
Not to mention Marat back in August and Lleyton too. Most of the top tennis guys seem to be having an appalling second half of the tennis season. :( I guess we can only hope they all get better quickly.
Yeah, it was the Times, at the end of the article on Andy playing doubles. I just want him playing. I miss Roger, dammit. I hope it was just for shock and it's not true. I have hope until I see it somewhere else.
*nods* I agree. 11 months is really insane for a sports season. It should be shorter and maybe then less people would be injured. At least flu is better than an ankle injury, because flu will really only last a week, if that.
Hee, it's okay :) I know how hectic uni can be, believe me.
Ooh Marat, my big Russian oaf! How could I forget him? *Hugs.* Lleyton I think is more about adjusting to marriage and fatherhood, even though he has been injured too.
Mardy better. *pets them* He's had such a craptastic year. Maybe all these late season injuries/sicknesses will make the ATP/ITF/USTA wake the hell up and realize our boys are running on empty by this time of the year and they need more of a break.
*pets them all* So many of them are injured or sick. Mardy, Joachim, Marat, Lleyton, Carlos' shoulder earlier in the season, Roger, Andy, Andre though does he count? He's had back problems for so long... Gaston was fighting the flu during the US Open series, all of the guys are scared to take cold medicine... it's a very frustrating time. *nods*
