clo_again: (Roger - Must Be Lying)

I was meant to do my creative writing today - a thousand words of the beginning of a story - but I haven't even been able to settle to fic recently; original stuff was so beyond me today. I'm going to have to fit it in somewhere tomorrow since my deadline is 9am Friday. I've done the easy half, which was to read a short story and write 300 words on my immediate reaction to it, now I just actually have to do the *creative* part. And then I have two novels to read for next week and two reviews to write for the paper. Because I thought hey, I should do other stuff this year! They're only 300 words though and one is on Silence of the Lambs that I can practically recite the script of, so no big hardship there. The reading, now that'll be fun.

[livejournal.com profile] scoobydumblonde, I had a go at demarking Image hosted by Photobucket.com you wanted, sorry it's not great. -_- Will try to get the other one done probably Friday now, since I think I have something of a crazy day tomorrow.

Journal is blue, because it's getting towards winter and I wanted wintery colours. However the design now bugs me, so I'll probably fix that whenever I get time, which won't be this weekend. I swear, life has gone nuts. I did see an updated Monopoly board in town today, with modern London streets and buildings instead of the traditional ones - and Wimbledon was on it. Must have it because, awesome. Though I'm trying all ways not to go over-budget in my *first* week, so it'll have to wait.

Um. What else is new in my life? Not a whole lot. I've actually held conversations consisting of more than ten words with the new freshers lately, so that's a plus. Had our first false-alarm-fire-alarm this morning, the first of many over the year no doubt. It's got to the point where me and [livejournal.com profile] wolves8 wandered casually down the corridor when it went off, to get shoes, jackets and an umbrella before we even thought about running for our lives. They've been 'testing' them all over campus lately and when they go off for real in seminars, the tutors usually wince and sit there for at least four or five minutes before reluctantly deciding that it's not just a test and we should go outside.

Okay. I should go keep being productive now. I haven't done nearly enough today, considering I had the day off. I'm getting there, slowly, but not fast enough. I need to fit fic in somewhere over the next few days. -_- Maybe Friday.

Clo

edit: Also, Serenity is not in Lancaster's pathetic cinema yet and if I hear one more person on the radio, read one more review, hear. One. More. Thing. About how great and wonderful and awesome it is? Someone will get something extremely heavy thrown at their head. :(
