Firstly, Mackin-whose-name-I-can't-spell-and-can't-be-bothered-to-check is losing. Humiliatingly. He just got his first game in like the third set and the commentators went nuts. I didn't really expect anything else but... the Murray muse I didn't know I had is plotting dire revenge on Roger. As in somehow-dyeing-his-hair-red-white-and-blue-and-replacing-all-his-wardrobe-with-a-tutu-while-he's-sleeping type of revenge.

I'm vetoing the hair plan. I love Roger's shiny curls too much.

I also just flicked over to Sky's coverage of Croatia vs Russia - which they're showing instead of the Americans, grrrr - and the court is purple. How can they play on that without getting distracted?

I can't watch the news any more. Not just Rita; now all they're talking about is climate change and NHS cuts. Unbelievably depressing. I'm going back to my tennis.

edit: Andy Murray can always cheer me up. He pronounced Gstaad - silent G - as 'Guhstad'. So very adorable.

My Murray muse is extremely tempted. He's even planning how to nick Roger's room key. Somehow I don't think this will end well.

He really is. Even though he's losing right now and I may have to stop speaking to him.
