clo_againAnd henceforth yet me share my words of wisdom for the day with you all: NEVER WATCH RED DWARF DVD COMMENTARIES WHILE TRYING TO DO HOMEWORK.
I was sitting in my room, starting my Psychology homework and thought "Why not put a dvd on as background noise?" So, rooting around through the DVD collection, I noticed the Red Dwarf Series One DVD had a cast commentary on it. I love cast commentaries so I immediately put it on. Through the first episode, I got out my folder, sorted out my Psychology work and got pen and paper ready to write. Then half way through the second episode, there was such an obviously slashy look between Craig and Cris Barrie on the screen and Danny-John Jules was like "Oooooo, dangerous ground there!" And Craig said, "Yeah it was leading up to our onscreen kiss in series seven." Me being me, I promptly fell off my chair because I had NO recollection of aforementined kiss ever happening. So, I ran downstairs, and went searching on the Internet for a screenshot of aforementioned kiss. For about five minutes I thought I'd got lucky because I found a red dwarf slash yahoo group on google with the description "Fanfiction, stories, pictures (including Lister/Rimmer's Season 7 kiss!!!!)" I click on the link. "Page Cannot Be Found." I found tons of other Red Dwarf sites, but NON WITH THE PICTURE I WANTED! *dies* Bloody torture I tell you!
YES I know, I said a few weeks ago I was going to keep Red Dwarf as my slash free TV show, but...... EVEN THE CAST WERE ADMITTING IT! *dies again* Oh bloody hell. I need that picture now, even if it's not as good as I've built it up to be. Oh for god's sake. And I always though I'd see the Lister/Cat slash, not Lister/Rimmer but now it's so obviously there that I like "Ah dammit!" *thinks* It's actually a really nice simple slash pairing - no marriages to explain away, no other people onboard except Cat who doesn't really count since he's... well a cat, and Kryten doesn't appear till... Season Two/Three? So no strings attached.
I've gotta stop thinking about this.
Oh yeah, the whole point of the thing: I HAVEN'T WRITTEN A SINGLE WORD OF PSYCHOLOGY! Unless I could hand in the little story thing I was scribbling on Rimmer's thoughts on being a hologram..... I guess it's kinda Psychology, evaluating how a person would feel never been able to touch anything again. Hhhmm, interesting thought there. But I can't believe I've been watching the cast commentaries all day. I've still got Chapter Three of Lamp of the Valar to finish dammit! I really have to go do that now, despite a sudden urge to play on the Sims.
Charly isn't coming over next week. -_- Unfair because we haven't seen her for ages. *sighs* Hey Charly, do Film Studies with me next year k? Then we might get to be in the same AS class.
Right, since I've been a complte and utter waste of space today, I'm off to actually acomplish something and type up Lamp of the Valar. If anyone knows where I can find a picture of that illusive kiss let me know, otherwise I'll just have to wait until they bring out the Season Seven DVD set which should be in, oh, about 2005? *cries*

Date: 2003-02-10 11:58 am (UTC)My brother had the DVD for Christmas and I can't believe I never found the cast commentary before now. *huggles all cast commentaries* They talked about the movie at one point too, so looks like we may get our Big Screen Red Dwarf yet! I also heard on the 'net that the movie won't follow the series, it'll start right back at the beginning and go in a different direction from where the series went which I'm happy about because I always thought the early episodes were the best. ^-^ It'll be like an entirely new series of Red Dwarf with all out favourite characters! *steals Lister*

And only four days till Series Two comes out on DVD methinks..... can't wait to see what other slashy stuff they come out with on that one. ^_~

Okay, so I want to buy all the M*A*S*H DVDs, and I'm about three seasons behind on that, and then Red Dwarf, and I'm four days shy of being two seasons behind on THAT... So at ~$29.99 each, I need, oh, $150. The cost of two months worth of groceries. THAT'S NO BIG DEAL AT ALL. I'll just eat Red Dwarf cast commentary for lunch every day. O_O oiii. I'll never catch up. I need more money. But that would mean getting a job. And Linda and "job" just... do not mix. I'll stick to mooching off of my parents for a long as humanly possible, thanks.

I giggled all through today when I thought of Red Dwarf. *shakes head* This is what slash does to me. It makes me giggle. I'm pretty sure everyone thought I'd gone mad but oh well. ^-^
