I think I caught up on my sleep.
Jul. 26th, 2005 11:22 amAfter a two hour nap last night, I banned myself from the 'net to fic but when it got to 1am and I'd spent about two hours on 650 words, I decided I might be fighting a losing battle, especially when my laptop turned itself off for no discernable reason. I need to remember that I don' have to edit everything as I go along. >_<
But in the course of getting way more sleep than I usually do - still only about seven hours last night, and I'm quite amused at how impressed I am at myself for that - I had some *weird* dreams. Weird in just the utter randomess, because
rainisnice was randomly there, as was
rainy_roz who'd suddenly acquired a little sister and Roger and Andy and... it was all very odd.
It went on *all* night , I can't even remember half of the stuff that happened at the beginning. I was back at uni, because we were all in uni-like accomodation only it was basically shacks made from corrugated metal. Sounds like my university, heh. We went on bar crawls and did lots of wandering aimlessly around but I don't remember much else... which is sad, because I do know Roger and Andy were there nearly all the time for that. Roger was missing Andy when Andy went away for a while for some reason and it was cute. *grins* Later on me and someone else - though I can't work out who it *was*, though I know I should know - were waiting with Roger for Andy's train to arrive. *frowns* Such a weird thing to remember but the train station looked like stables. Huh.
Actually we did a lot of walking though... I think we were meant to be hiking or something because we seemed to walk through lots of hills and muddy fields. With horses in them! Trust me to dream about horses in muddy fields and remember that better than Roger and Andy. *rolls eyes* I dream of cute, sexy tennis players - and we go hiking. Yeah, I don't get it either.
I do remember me,
rainy_roz and her little sister going to eat at Crows that-wasn't-Crows, which is undestandable because we'd been talking about it yesterday, but then my high school teachers showed up at my university which *wasn't* Lancaster and we threatened to sue them for something. Cool university though; it had this giant tower made of bamboo which everyone kept falling off when the tower swayed in the wind, or when some idiot tried to swing it (you know, like on a rope bridge when you think it'll be funny to scare your scared-of-heights friend by swinging it from side to side, and then you fall off? Yeah, like that.) I fell off twice but I think I floated down gently or something... it wasn't a "Oh my god I'm going to die!" dream, more of a "... and now what the hell else going to happen?" dream. It took me ages to work out that the girl with the camera and strawberries tattooed on her arm - don't ask me, I just clearly remember a tattoo of strawberries - that I'd been talking to was
rainisnice, though what she was doing studying in a British university I don't know. I guess the camera should've been a giveaway. ^__^ I love LJ people randomly showing up in dreams.
And then, after we'd spent days wandering around this university campus and threatening to sue the teachers if they didn't let us stop graffiting - yes, *stop*, we wanted to stop and they wanted us to spray paint everything. I never said this dream made sense - we went back to someone's house and we all ended up sitting in *my* 'fridge - even though it wasn't my house - with Tim Henman, Andy Murray, some people I was informed were 'King Tim's Court' and another guy I think I should've recognised, discussing temperate zones and how Tim actually rules India. Andy Murray accused Tim of being able to control India's climate and making it as cold as Britain just by turning this dial at the back of the fridge. Tim said something along the lines of "Don't be silly, it's much more complicated than that. You at least need a screwdriver."
And then my alarm woke me up, which I was quite sad about. I wanted to know why Tim ruled India and how he changed the weather with a screwdriver.
Don't think I'll ever understand any of that. It made much more sense from beginning to end but the beginning was too long ago to remember. *mourns* And I also remember checking my LJ at one point. o_O I'm now even DREAMING about LJ. Obsessed? Me? Hah!
But in less weird news, I didn'tchickened out of ring the college woman yesterday, so I need to do that today. But first I'm going to actually get dressed, have coffee and catch up on my f-list, since I seem to have missed quite a bit last night. See what too much sleep does to you?
