When watching BBC news, they mention this and my immediate response is to abandon the TV, head upstairs and check london_070705. Only to find a post already up telling me exactly what the news just told me.

*chews her nails and goes back to refreshing the BBC website*

It all doesn't *look* too bad right now. Certainly nothing like a few weeks ago. At this point I'm leaning towards thinking it's just a few very very stupid people thinking it'll be 'fun' to disrupt the London transport network again.

*nods* Nothing like that bad I think; it's been three hours and no fatalities reported. There's even disputes over the reported minor damage to the bus; it all looks like it can be cleared up pretty quickly since there's no damage to anything. I'm just wondering how people could be so mind-bogglingly stupid as to do something like this, especially *now* - do they *want* to spend the rest of their lives in prison for something which sounds like it might amount to basically a practical joke? *sighs*
