So I was just innocently lying in bed, contemplating the quietness of my flat - I swear, if I could go into anyone's room it'd be like having your own eight bedroomed house lately - when I heard the main door open down the corridor. Wondered if it was S and K coming back from their night out but didn't recognise the voices. Conversation went something like:
Man: Well it could be this one.
Woman: I don't know, it's-
Man: Or this one.
Woman: If we go and get the keys we can check-
*voices fade as they leave just before I open my door to demand whose room they're planning on opening*
So now I'm wondering if I should *go* back to sleep or if I'll get walked in on by random people, no doubt claiming to be checking something like the drainage of the bathroom floor or some such crap. The main thing that I hate about having to live in campus rooms, is that it seems absolutely everyone, porters, the boss lady, workmen - have a copy of your goddamn key and if you don't answer your door when they knock, they *will* just walk in.
Which y'know. Is a real nice thought. -_-
Clo
EDIT: Mystery solved. It was the cleaner and the porter, trying to work out which rooms were empty - two of the Cypriots went home yesterday - to clean. Only we were just chatting to the cleaner and she said the porter hadn't checked the rooms next door properly yesterday... and she walked in on someone by accident. *sighs* Yeah, our university people are all so professional.
