We can fly!
Jan. 25th, 2003 09:46 pmWas watching a thing on upcoming movies in 2003 earlier - and they're making another Peter Pan movie! I adore Peter Pan, it's always been my favourite story. I'm so happy they're making it into a real film, not an animated one or a sequel. *bounces* Plus some of the sets look really beautiful.
They had a special on Orlando Bloom too - he seems to be in a lot lately! The showed the Ned Kelly trailer which looks like it is gonna *kick ass* and they had 'The Calcium Kid' in which a milkman (Orlando Bloom) becomes a boxer. *rolls eyes* It sounds kinda silly but hey, if it's got Orlando Bloom boxing then it's definitely ok with me! I'm sure they mentioned another OB film too... oh yeah, the Pirates of the Caribbean. They said he looked really "debonair" (sp?) with a little mustache and goatee but they didn't show any clips. *cries* So 2003 is definitely Orlando Bloom year. He looks so much like a pixie I just want to cuddle him! *giggles as she imagines Orlando Bloom with little wings in a green pixie outfit* Maybe they should cast him as Tinkerbell in the Peter Pan movie.... *plots* Although I don't think the dress would suit him. But then again, you never know.
X-Men 2 also looks like it is gonna utterly kick ass, but it's not out till May. *sobs* I need my dose of Hugh Jackman dammit! Although my Wolvie muse is already causing havoc, the last thing I need is for him to get excited about Scott again.
Yeah. So. I'm mainly looking forward to three movies this year: Ned Kelly (Orlando Bloom AND Heath Ledger!!!), Peter Pan and X-Men 2. *counts the days down*
I'm so impressed with myself. *looks smug* Finished chapter one of Myth this week and today I finished chapter two of Lamp of the Valar which has been uploaded to ff.net and Planet Helen. Finished the member's corner on Planet Helen, laughed at some random stranger who tried to send me a computer virus which McAffee picked up on and made a few more banners and have uploaded them. So. It's all spiffy.
This time tomorrow I'll be in bed sleeping ready for my 4am start. ^-^ This time in two days I'll be in the Disney village in France. All good. Though I'm sure I've forgotten something I need to buy, besides films.
I loved this word so it just had to pop up here:
portmanteau • \port-MAN-toh\ (noun)
1 : a large suitcase
*2 : a word or morpheme whose form and meaning are derived from a blending of two or more distinct forms (as "smog" from "smoke" and "fog")
Apparently Lewis Carroll used it in the latter meaning. I know he was plain weird, but he did write Jabberwocky which is one of the greatest poems ever.
"'Twas brillig in the slithy toves, did gyre and gimble in the wabe, all mimsy were the borogroves, that the momeraths outgrabe....."
