Yes I am still working and yes it is getting to the point where I'm looking back at my notes and going "Um... I really don't know what postmodernism is after all." But I just had to say, because it made me so happy...

And he was flirting with Sue Barker in his post-match interview. *snickers* And a ball bounced up in a very unfortunate place at once point too not that my Roger muse was shrieking in horror at that point or anything. *grins* And my god, how tall was Karlovic?! He made Andy look about... well, my height. And since I quite often have trouble reaching the top shelves in bookshops, that should tell you how short Andy looked. ;-)

That's made me happy for the rest of the week now. *happy sigh* Very good boy. Must remember to buy a couple of newspapers post-exam tomorrow to get the pictures of him with the trophy.

Back to work. But I'm still happy! ^__^

*joins in bouncing* Andy won! Yep, and I got to see because I woke up early to watch. *nods* But as soon as it was over I was asleep again. However, I did do the math and now Andy should be #5. If I calculated correctly.

*giggles* I just posted in my livejournal that Andy got hit in an unfortunate place too. Karlovic was 6 ft 10 inches tall. I wouldn't want to stand next to him. He's almost two feet taller than my short 5 ft 1 in.

Just a question: Do people in the UK know customary measurements? Because I've seen inches and feet mentioned before by some but don't y'all use the metric system?

*giggles* I let him distract me from revision for a little while. Trying to read Paradise Lost while watching tennis is really hard. ^__^ I hope he is because... 8?! It was just dismal.

*snickers* Poor boy. At least it bounced up and it wasn't a direct serve. And I couldn't stop laughing when Karlovic came on court because he made everyone else loo absolutely tiny. I'm around 5'3 and I really would not want to stand next to him.

Sure we know it. We use it for a lot of measuring and tend to weigh big things in it but we still like to use our inches, miles and ounces most of the time too. *shrugs* Doesn't make much difference. Things tend to give you multiple measurements - like a receipe would give you ounces and grams.
