"A DEEP THOUGHT: We must all seek our INNER GOALS yet sometimes we are distracted by the REFEREE.
Is he a new and BETTER GOAL or are we just bedazzled by his SHINY WHISTLE?"
The quote on a mini card I got from the LUSU shop this morning. Yes I did giggle while buying it and yes, I spent 50p on it simply because it amused me. Because I was distracted by the shiny whistle. *tries to keep a straight face*
Also bought a card to send back to
inspireddreams whose card was waiting for me when I got back and caused much amusement. *giggles* I was so busy reading all the things written on the envelope that I kept walking right past our flat and climbed the next flight of stairs that go to the attic. I didn't realise until I almost walked into the attic door. ^___^ It cheered me up muchly. *snuggles* And I would've loved to see the postal worker's faces. *giggles*
In less exciting news, the medical centre on campus is stupid. I registered at the start of the year but have they got me registered now? I think not. So, stupid. -_- I hate filling forms in. Oh, and for the first time in about five months what seemed like the entire first year English student group turned up for the lecture... sat there for ten minutes... decided lecturer wasn't coming and left. -_- Third time they've done this to us the bastards.
Got essay back. Passed. Saying nothing more (why do I expect to get First level marks when I write these things half asleep at 5:30am? *eye roll*)
And the LUSU shop has beautiful new Lancaster Uni stuff in, pens and scarves and a gorgeous white rugby shirt and I am NOT spending any more money, I'm not. *headdesk* Stop tempting me dammit! Maybe at the end of term.
So I've accomplished a couple of things today, including something I've been talking myself into all over Easter, so it's not a write-off yet. But now I have to go and do some work. *sighs* Yep, I'm back a uni.
Maybe a ficlet tonight. Depending on the muses and how fast I get the work done.
