Apr. 1st, 2009 04:57 pmI AM IN AUSTRALIA. On
chickybee32's computer and I just had to look up the current local time in England which was so weird. Even with the insanely long flight, it still doesn't feel like I've come far enough to be on the other side of the world (for some reason I just thought 'dark side of the moon' which is like no, I didn't go quite that far). But I'm here! I didn't even get lost wandering around Melbourne by myself which for me is totally an achievement. (I treated myself with a Krispy Kreme doughnut which by the way? I am bitter that everywhere in the world seems to have except the north of England. We like doughnuts too!)
So yeah. Even with the really pretty obvious-Aussie scenery and the heat (this is your autumn, seriously?) is hasn't sunk in that I'm in Australia yet. I liked Melbourne though. I could totally do with it being closer to the UK.
Now I'm going to go... I don't know, hang out in Australia. Wow.
