I'm once again doing That Most Foolish of Things this year and assembling many small Christmas presents for each of my 'rents instead of splurging on one big thing (although it ends up costing me more, I buy things over several months and it feels less expensive. Also, it means they have lots of things to open too and I don't feel guilty still opening my presents after they've finished. Plus I like buying presents. It's the most fun you can have spending money apart from spending it on yourself. ^_^)
ANYWAY. I was thinking my mother likes other music similar to Josh Groban but I know for a fact that she knows nothing about him, so one of his albums would be a nice surprise present but... I know nothing about him either, other than I still want to slash him with Lee Mead because it would be harmoniously pretty. (The thought occurs suddenly that I should not put slash and Christmas presents for parents together in a sentence again. Ever. But anyway.) Does anyone have any recommendations for which album to go for? I think the mother would rather stick to the pretty singing part rather than anything loud or rocky or experimental, if that helps at all.
On a side note, thinking about the Joseph has reminded me that I'm in London soon and I have a shocking record of only ever having seen one musical in London (though Avenue Q's awesome counts for like, five by itself.) Mmm and I wanted to see Phantom for my birthday last year, only I never got round to it. I'm sure I can convince one of the people I'mcadging free accomodation off *guilt* visiting to go see something. *carefully doesn't look to see if the anvils she's dropping have squashed
kindoftrouble yet*. Or both! (my lack of a big 21st birthday bash means I might even get my 'rents to pay for one. Excellent.) S'll be getting student loan again this year *is not bitter* so I'm sure she'll be happy to spend spend spend.
Maybe if I bribe them with cookies...
Oh and not one word about me planning Christmas in October. I know. It's just, if I don't start now with the little presents then I wouldn't find enough things.
