(no subject)

Got up at half nine this morning, ready to do work. And what have I done since then? Started and almost finished a Primeval fanmix.

EDIT: Damn. Thought I was done but one of the songs really doesn't lead into the next one. Only, I have no idea what song to put between them to bridge the gap.

Oh god, I've spent the entire day on this so far. It was meant to be to avoid spending so much time on fic, because "a fanmix'll be quicker". But no.

Dammit dammit dammit. Need a song. Hm.

Procrastination in action.

Although this took (much) longer than I thought, I still made it much too quick and have barely listened through, so there'll be rough edges. It started out as Cutter's voice before I realised Stephen was kind of taking over (not surprising really, since it's a Stephen-centric fic I was making this to avoid taking the time to write right now) and now it's Cutter/Stephen-centric. Sort of.

Making this made me think this might be one of the few pairings I can't see a happy ending for. Or maybe that was just this time.

(The Nickelback song is, annoyingly, protected which I didn't realise until I'd already picked and sorted all the songs, so I don't have the energy to replace it. If anyone has a non-protected version (even if it isn't the acoustic one) and feels like uploading it for me, I'll replace the version in this. Hopefully no one will have trouble playing it anyway. I don't know how all the crazy protecting music stuff works.)

The cover is half-assed, I know. I have a 10,000 word dissertation to research and write in the next three and a half weeks. Sssshhh.


edit: Yes I KNOW the vast majority of my flist don't watch Primeval and don't know what it is and probably don't care but dammit, let me alone in my procrastinating. If you don't know the backstory, just enjoy the songs.

edit: Final thing I've remembered: took some of bigtitch's screencaps for the covers. This show needs more pretty promo pictures.

(no subject)

Am not, in fact, working yet but eating yoghurt-covered fruit with my fingers and cursing that it's all turning out to be banana pieces instead of pineapple. I spend half an hour chopping the damn pineapple, cover it with yoghurt and it promptly -- apparently -- disolves.

Starting to think this is my subconscious's bitter vengence for thinking I have too much work to do to write fic. Bitter bananaery vengence.

Also, it's totally possible to eat Greek yoghurt with your fingers but not possible to do it without getting yoghurt all over everything. Even things across the room.

I like The Odyssey. Why am I doing this to myself?
