Two thoughts.

Sigh. I would've had time to clean the Muppets out after all.

On top of the world, looking over the edge.

Food and earrings and a nifty new shop down a street that I had no idea existed. Oh, and I bought Clarkson's new book to keep me sane.

Though, even that -- or perhaps, especially that -- may fail in the face of me opening my flist and going, with genuine interest, "Oooo, Hammond/Clarkson."

Going. To. The. Special. Hell. The extra burny kind.

For no apparent reason (other than boredom and avoiding-the-washing-up), I just went and pointlessly requested Top Gear tickets. I won't get them (hence the pointlessly) but it did make me realise that Wimbledon is not the hardest thing in the world to get tickets for. I seriously doubt sitting outside the Top Gear hanger overnight would get you an instant ticket to the filming. And Wimbledon, while the ballot system may be evil and hate me with a fiery passion, it doesn't have a potentially infinite waiting list.

Why can't I like football? Or concerts? Or you know, anything you can actually get tickets for without selling multiple limbs or waiting until you're too old to enjoy them.
