Lightening Who fic rec: This House is Not For Sale by centaurea_m. AU from The Impossible Planet, the vaguest of spoilers for a conversation within it I guess but so worth the read. Writing and characterisation and the Doctor in an *airing cupboard*, it's all wonderful.

One day I'll grasp the amazing ability some Who authors seem to have of dealing with the mundane and the fantastic in this stunningly matter-of-fact way but it's so much harder than it looks and so damn *smart*.

Went to see The DaVinci Code earlier and enjoyed it. Not as in go-to-see-it-a-million times enjoyed and it was somewhat predictable but fun to watch regardless. So much love for Paul Bettany, even if he was insanely creepy. Don't have the energy to LJ cut thoughts and I haven't read the book anyway but! I do have to squee because POTC2 trailer! :D So much love. Looks like they've gone all out on the supernatural in this one which could be either very, very good or untold realms of badness. I'm going with good because optimism is good and also, the trailer was really, *really* cool.

So need to go to bed. >_< Despite dreaming of both Doctor Who -- think action/adventure. There were torrents of water and the bad guy from The Bourne Supremacy and cake, it was all very weird -- and about Hamster getting mocked, didn't sleep great. Actually staying in one bed for more than a week right now would probably help but not really an option until July.

Who needs sleep anyway?
