There are no words for how much I would like to go back to bed right now.

*kicks her seminar for being such a useless waste of time*

Know that feeling where you walk into the library, look at the sheer number of books you could've read on your essay topic, if you'd started a week ago, probably getting you a million more marks on your essay - and you know you've only got two and a half days and time to read maybe a couple of chapters from two or three of them? Yeah, I really need to stop doing this anytime now. Vaguely comforting is that I do this every time and, even though I know I'll probably be up most of the night tomorrow, writing and stressing and eating chocolate, I also know I'll probably hand in at least a semi-coherent essay come Thursday morning.

Unfortunately, *not* knowing this fact is what usually motivates me to actually work so right now, I'm having to make myself even think about starting an essay plan. I did spend an hour in the library earlier and only reached the conclusion that our short loan system is shockingly dumb and for a second year English student, I really have no clue how the library works. I wouldn't have known where the short loan section *was* if R hadn't told me yesterday.

And people don't believe me when I say failing my degree is a genuine possibility. Hah.

HOWEVER. The most depressing news of my day? Going to my Victorians seminar only to be told that our tutor and a group of others has finally convinced the Powers That Be to take Middlemarch off the course. So next year, they won't be doing it. At all.

I didn't cry. I may have repeatedly hit my head against the desk but in light of the circumstances, that's probably understandable. WHY FATE DOST THOU MOCKEST ME SO?!! Murphy's-fucking-Law.

Other than that, I actually have an argument -- sort of -- for my essay which I might still be able to work despite the library showing me that every possible argument has already been done. So my tonight is going to be spent researching. *sighs* If you get babbling posts about hagiography* and mythologising, feel free to ignore me. Or hit my with heavy objects, either works.

* No, I don't know what it means [yet] either.

I started this post about an hour and twenty minutes ago. -_- Yeah, I'm going to do some work now.
