STOP FALLING ASLEEP READING MIDDLEMARCH. *facepalm* On the plus side, I'm looking to have got through about a hundred and ten pages by the end of today which I call progress. Unfortunately I have made no attempt whatsoever to write a poem this week, which is with the badness because it's my *last* week and I don't care what our other tutor told my friend -- okay, actually I do a little because it'll save my ass -- about it not mattering what we've written as long as we explain it in the essay; I have to write at least five poems this term, I really do. And I think I'm on... three? Might leave it tomorrow in lieu of getting through some more Middlemarch though.

We got 71 on our presentation. Which is a First (I guess A* or A is the equivalent) and is absolutely spiffy so basically, putting with Neurotic English Student for so long paid off. :D Now if I can just not totally-fail this Middlemarch essay, I'll be in a happy place for this year of uni. For a whole day and then I'll have the thirty thousand words of coursework I have to write over Easter looming up but *happy place*. Don't take that away from me.

Going back to get to page 300 of the dreaded, dire, evil, appallling -- and it is, it just gets worse -- Middlemarch. I will finish the damn thing by Saturday night.

After that though, I don't think I have any other distractions for tonight and should really try to catch up on LJ and emails sometime because I've been appalling. Oh and must remember to ask my tutor tomorrow about dissertation topics because... I'll cry if I don't get to do one. Dumb combined major rules. Creative Writing *is* English, dumbasses! *kicks them*
