clo_again: (Andy - Clever/Tricky)
Still alive. Currently attempting to salvage the tatters of my creative writing degree and write up the notes from the Nigerian poet interview. Also managed to break the computer systems in three entirely separate places in town today. Am unsure if I should be looking for ways to exploit this new talent or worrying about technology finally getting back at me for all the Sledgehammer of d00m threats.

[livejournal.com profile] scoobydumblonde must still be ill. :(

I was cautiously optimistic about Andy's latest move until I just went to look for a link and found the article had vanished from his site. Backpedal now Andy and I will not stand in the way of irritated fans kicking your ass. Hell, I'll be one of them. As much as I have a soft spot for Dean, he really hasn't been helping and -- considering my brother can still come out with some mind-bogglingly accurate comments about me and I only *see* him maybe once or twice a year -- I can't think of anyone better to get Andy's head set on straight than his brother. This is a *good* move, I'll go on the record as saying it and be prepared to eat my words if it all goes pear-shaped but right now, I'm leaning towards the positive. At least he's doing something and it seems like a good something. Baby steps in the right direction and all that.

Besides, he has to get to the second week of Wimbledon for us this year and there'll be hell to pay if he doesn't. ;-) His brother being there last year -- we know; we almost walked into him twice. Trust us *eyeroll* -- certainly seemed to help.

Need food. Need to do work. :-/ Need to Not. Stress. Am calm. Really.

edit: Hmm. That's interesting. Here his agent confirms it all, so it's not just ar.com jumping on the bandwagon again, like it was beginning to seem when *every* article I was looking at seemed to quote the now-vanished piece on Andy's website as their source. It's official. Ar.com? Care to explain yourselves?

edit: Ah, I just re-read that article and twigged. I'd bet anything they got asked to take down any reference to it until the Davis Cup weekend is over, because Andy doesn't want the focus on him and coaches instead of the DC matches.

Kind've like locking the barn door after the horses have escaped if you ask me, but eh.
