Jan. 28th, 2006 09:15 amHostel internet is sllooooooooowwww. But the flatmate I just woke up is sllllooow also so I can cope. ;) I pulled her duvet off to wake her up and she sat up, stared at me for several minutes and then said slowly, in the most hurt tone, 'Why did you pull my duvet off?" as if I'd done it just to be mean. (Which I hadn't; we actually needed her to get up.)
Apple Mac computer with a terrible keyboard aaaaahhhhh. 'Scuse typing errors, which will be many. Quite an insane computer.
Anyway um. Really just saying I didn't get axe murdered in the night. I got almost squashed by a drunken french girl at 4am, woken up *again* by the french people at 5am and woken up again by - you guessed it - the French people at half six. Apparently the whole concept of 'other people sleeping in the room' was a bit advanced for them and they had a whole conversation in french while dragging bags around, putting on shoes, stepping on my mattress to get down from the top bunk... so basically I almost *was* an axe murderer but I was too sleepy, really. Also, lack of axe. Minor problem. Other than that, the whole dormitory thing went well. Definitely not the best idea if you need a peaceful night's sleep though. Nnnnoooo.
Today we're meeting the Lossi half of
fionaandlossi - who is awesome and should be given many cookies - again and possibly going to the Edinburgh Dungeon, since the castle's expensive to get in. Also, bookshops. That sell Gaiman things. Yes precious. *gleeful rubbing of hands*
And then we're catching a train followed by a bus, followed by another bus or possibly a taxi if it all gets too much for us and I'll be back with a computer that doesn't want to kill me probably around 11pm, all going well. So, back tonight. :)
