Hostel internet is sllooooooooowwww. But the flatmate I just woke up is sllllooow also so I can cope. ;) I pulled her duvet off to wake her up and she sat up, stared at me for several minutes and then said slowly, in the most hurt tone, 'Why did you pull my duvet off?" as if I'd done it just to be mean. (Which I hadn't; we actually needed her to get up.)

Apple Mac computer with a terrible keyboard aaaaahhhhh. 'Scuse typing errors, which will be many. Quite an insane computer.

Anyway um. Really just saying I didn't get axe murdered in the night. I got almost squashed by a drunken french girl at 4am, woken up *again* by the french people at 5am and woken up again by - you guessed it - the French people at half six. Apparently the whole concept of 'other people sleeping in the room' was a bit advanced for them and they had a whole conversation in french while dragging bags around, putting on shoes, stepping on my mattress to get down from the top bunk... so basically I almost *was* an axe murderer but I was too sleepy, really. Also, lack of axe. Minor problem. Other than that, the whole dormitory thing went well. Definitely not the best idea if you need a peaceful night's sleep though. Nnnnoooo.

Today we're meeting the Lossi half of [livejournal.com profile] fionaandlossi - who is awesome and should be given many cookies - again and possibly going to the Edinburgh Dungeon, since the castle's expensive to get in. Also, bookshops. That sell Gaiman things. Yes precious. *gleeful rubbing of hands*

And then we're catching a train followed by a bus, followed by another bus or possibly a taxi if it all gets too much for us and I'll be back with a computer that doesn't want to kill me probably around 11pm, all going well. So, back tonight. :)
clo_again: (Andy/Roger - The Way You Tease)
Four hours of travelling later, am home just fine and am clean -- yay! I didn't realise what a clean!whore I am until I was depprived of a shower -- and have a nice, French-backpacker-less bed to sleep in, so all is shiny in my world right now.

Grimly ignoring whatever little temper-tantrum Andy is throwing until the morning. All. Is. Shiny. End of story.

Full trip update in the morning, since my head is about to hit the keyboard and I have a vaguely important tennis match to watch in the morning. Some sort of big tournament, somewhere down the Aussie way. Can't quite remember the name, it's on the tip of my tongue...

Though in the words of my Cypriot flatmate, "My mother just called to say my father is very excited about the match tomorrow. Apparently everyone in Cyprus is excited! I hope we win." And in response to my woeful face, "Oh come on! We never win, you have to let us win something!"

Either way tomorrow, I lose. If Roger loses, I sulk in my room all day. (I have [livejournal.com profile] lossi's permission, so there. ;) ). If Baghdatis loses, I have a mournful Cypriot who's close enough to actually physically chase me with sharp, pointy objects.

I still think I'd rather chance the pointy objects. ;)

So I'm going to bed to sleep away what may be my last night of (a) comfortable Roger-happiness or (b) being un-speared with whatever pointy objects can be found in a student flat. Very sleepy. Mmmmm.
