Feline drama! Sort of...
Apr. 14th, 2004 12:07 amYou may have heard of my cat, Casper who let me note, while being cute and endearing and sometimes overwhelmingly cheeky, is not the bravest cat in the world. He's great when he has human back-up but if he was a human kid he'd be the one that got bullied in the playground bless him. Ok. Back ground info on Casper.
Before we got him, our next door neighbour had a black-and-white tom named Tyler. He was sort of my surrogate cat for a while, he'd go in and out of our kitchen, hang round in our garden and generally acted like our cat. Yet a while before we got Casper, Tyler vanished. Woke up one day, he'd just gone. Next door didn't seem to make much effort to find him, I think they mentioned once he'd gone missing but I haven't seen him since. Must be.... four years since I've seen him now?
Yet half an hour ago I heard meowing outside my window (which looks out on our back garden) and Casper was sitting on our patio watching a black and white cat nose around in the bushes. He didn't seem very bothered about having a strange cat in his garden, he was just watching. Then, when the other cat came out the bushes, I would *swear* it was Tyler. Same markings, same colour, same attitude. So I knocked on the window and they both looked up at me and the new cat was staring at me. I swear, he - or she come to think of it - looked *just* like Tyler. However he was wearing a collar so it was like... maybe not. Then I went outside for a closer look, Casper decided he was suddenly brave and bolted off to chase the new cat away down the garden. *pouts* Last I saw of Tyler-lookalike, he was staring at me from the top of next door's shed before Casper chased him away.
So I've brought Casper inside (he's currently ensconced on my computer chair, no doubt leaving hairs all over it *sigh*) and left some cat biscuits outside to see if I can entice maybe-Tyler back. Stupid Casper deciding to be brave. *glares* Even if it isn't Tyler, I love meeting new cats.
You can tell I'm bored; I just went to the effort of typing all that up. *sigh* I'm actually considering doing english essays at 12:15am. Hhmm.
Tea. I need tea.

EDIT: 1) The next two entries on my friends list after mine are also cat-related. Feel the kitty love!
and 2) it's official - I just finished my last Easter egg. Bye bye easter for another year.
