Shakespeare is bad for me.
Dec. 5th, 2003 03:34 pmEver since we first read Benedick's challenge to Claudio I've been bouncing round the idea of writing the fight between them - in modern English naturally because if I tried Shakespeare's English, it *would* end up sounding very stupid. The happy, fluffy, Hallmark type ending is all very good but sometimes some death, destruction and carnage is in order. And today Martin mentioned he'd prefer the play as a tragedy. And I thought..... "Okay." So I'm contemplating the idea of writing the 'fight' between Claudio and Benedick this weekend, in between Myth and some short stories and more Muse Madness. And it's not even going to be slashy. I can't believe I'm even *thinking* about writing Shakespeare fanfic. I mean.... jeez. It's just *insane*. 'Aeneid' or 'Odyssey' fanfic yeah, especially slash (Aeneas/Pallas!!!! ^_________^) but Shakespeare?!!!! Dude, my mind works in mysterious ways.
I've discovered where I've picked up 'dude' from - the Finding Nemo trailer. I haven't even seen the damn film! And I realised today, having said it repeatedly for about the last two months, that I got 'It's fantastic' from Martin. Bloody hell. I can't even speak on my own anymore!!! ^__~
On the plus side, filming went superbly on the video today, although I couldn't book the camera for next week due to the camera store being closed. -_- But I'll go in a bit early on Monday and do it then/ Hopefully - and I stress *hopefully* - I'll be able to get the remainder of the filming done on Thursday and Friday, with the band stuff getting done in the studio after Christmas. Way-hey!
I now have, to all intents and purposes, a four day weekend (I have an English lesson Monday which doesn't count because I enjoy them so much and it's last thing so no getting up early :-D ) so I'm gonna try and get all the stuff I haven't done over the last month or so, done.
But first I'm gonna go check UCAS for university offers - one person only got the letter last week and she's had four already, so I'm gonna check. *wibbles*
