Intellectual theatre is very tiring. Good. But *very* tiring. Paying complete attention for an hour and a quarter, to a play with words you don't even *understand* throughout most of the first act doesn't half make my head hurt. And then Martin - the English teacher who really should have known better than to take us to see a play where the student ruins her teacher's career ^__~ - calmly leans over to us at the end and says "She was completely in the right." And we're all like "WTF?!! No way! She was *so* wrong!!" And then he walks off and drives home so we can't argue with him. Grrrr. Just you wait until tomorrow mister. We're going to redefine the word "debate" to mean "yelling match". ^___~ If my brain has recovered by then that is. But no, 'Oleanna' was good. So provocative, annoying, provoking and irritating, but good. But damn were we being manipulated. I hate being manipulated to think certain things. Damn.
I have a ton of stuff to write this weekend so I'm debating locking myself in my room with the laptop on Saturday and just *writing* because I haven't done it properly for far too long. I'm also planning this sequel for Merc and keep drifting off into planning it, which is good. ^___^ Will work on more Myth too and finish these few original things that keep floating around.
You ever wonder if all the best guys are gay? Well they are. *sulks* But he's too funny for me to be mad at him, not that I'd be mad anyway. Just..... *sigh* He's so damn wonderful. Ah well.
World politics just suck ass at the moment, they really do. Politicians, terrorists, Tony Blair, George Bush, you all suck ass. Please go away and stop screwing up so much. Please? Okay, thank you, byebye now.
I have a driving lesson in the morning. *wibbles* And I haven't had time to revise all the stuff he gave me. *wibbles more* But do I care?!! Well uh yeah, but that's what Classics tomorrow morning is for - sleeping and catching up on what I haven't done. Hell yeah. But I better go sleep now anyway so I don't pass out behind the wheel tomorrow.
