How am I supposed to write an essay on films I Haven't. Fucking. Seen?!!!! She wants an essay "discussing the development of the gangster genre" and has blithely ignored the fact that most people in the class hate gangster films and so haven't seen many. So here I am writing a ton of shit about the Godfather and Goodfellas and fucking 1950s films that I haven't seen, I don't really want to see and have to discuss specific fucking details about. Last year we got to choose ONE film to write in detail about - not only did we have a much wider choice since the genre was Action/Adventure, it meant we could chose a film we had on DVD and watch it over and over again to pick out specific details. I watched X-Men more times than I care to count in that week and I still couldn't get all the details. She wants us to do a similar thing only for a far more specific genere which we don't really like, over 70-fucking-years. I'm writing about films from the 1930s that no one but a gangster fanatic would ever have even heard of! This isn't fucking Media Studies, this is a fucking Gangster Club. Jesus.

Plus Sian cheerfully dumped an extra Classics essay on us today. It has to be in tomorrow. Thanks Sian. Thanks a fucking bunch.

Rant over. I'll retire to Microsoft Word again now. Plus Hotmail still isn't working properly for me. Bastards.
