Oh! The pain! The decisions!
Sep. 2nd, 2003 02:33 amWhy do I always have to make decisions this late at night?!! To buy the Sleepy Hollow DVD with Edward Scissorhands for £13:98 or not?! Admittedly I'll be paying £3.50 p&p but was going to pay that anyway to rent E.S. on Friday. Plus, SH by itself is £14:99 on play.com. AAARRGGGH!! WHY MUST YOU TAUNT ME UNIVERSE WITH YOUR CRUEL REDUCED DVD PRICING? WHY??? WHY?!!!!
But I have Sleepy Hollow on VHS. Buying it on DVD will mean admitting I'm a snobby DVD elitest. Brother will laugh at me. Parents will moan at me. Christine will be deliriously happy.
Okay perhaps I'm exaggerating the delirious part.
*rocks back and forth* Buy them..... don't buy them..... buy them... don't buy them..... Oh, I adore Tim Burton. I'm gonna have to do it. Click the button Clo! Click it......! Oh feck, now it's offering me E.S. and Nightmare Before Christmas too! I LOVE THAT FILM! But wait I can't afford that combination. And they say E.S. may not ship for four days anyway so I wouldn't have it by Friday. Bugger. Complications. I can't even make the original decision and now they're adding bloody *COMPLICATIONS*. S.H. has a commentary. BIG points in it's favour, I adore commentaries to pieces. Hmm. The later I order, the less chance of it getting here before friday. *beats head against the wall* Shall I? Shall I?
YES! Fuckit, I'm buying the DVDs. Will leave me poor, defenceless and broke throughout September, but will ease pain with beautifully gothic Tim Burton filmage. And hey, p&p is only £1:75. And yes I am an elitest DVD snob. Deal with it. Will explain to parental unit tomorrow that was urgent and use of password was necessary. Doubt parental will understand but then parental has no appreciation for beautifully gothic Tim Burton filmage. Hah. I'm clicking the button. Aaaaaaany second now. And.... and...... IT'S DONE. Now please pray to the deity of your choice that I get it before Friday. *crosses fingers*
Okay. Mid-night crisis over. DVDs aquired, or at least will be soon. Spur-of-the-moment shopping has taken place and will no doubt regret said shopping come the clear light of day but eh, such is life. And I have the comforting excuse of being a DVD snob. ^__^
Now I wonder if I can persuade the parentals to 'contribute' on the grounds I'm making a gothic music video soon and listening to the commentaries will help...... but I think that may be pushing my luck. ^___~
I'm off to bed (finally). G'night!
