I'm knackered. University visits take more energy than I thought.
Keele was nice and nearly all really pretty, though the accomodation was a little tatty on the outside. The English building was *incredible*. It must have been the original university or something and it was all turrets and statues and beautiful carvings. If they did the course I want then I'd have no qualms about going there, but I wasn't too impressed with the English course, it was just literature, 'Sense and Sensibility' and stuff. So I think it's definitely a second choice. I'm looking forward to Lancaster's open day, though it opens 9:30 and we won't get there till at least 11 which sucks. But eh, I've looked at the tours that are running and there's nothing I'm missing, I think. Though I'm constantly worried Creative Writing isn't an actual degree course - according to the website they say: "We have no examinations and no set topics" and that sounds too good to be a degree course. I'm highly suspicious that the university I like is running the exact perfect course for me. Maybe I sold my soul for it and forgot I did it. Hhhmm. How do you tell if you still have your soul?
The last-ever Futurama just made me all sniffly. *sniffles* And they couldn't resist one final dig at Nixon. *sighs* How could this program ever have been cancelled?!
Independent Studies sounds cool. I mean..... choosing your own topic to study?!! Fantastic! If I wasn't so determined to do Creative Writing I'd love to design my own course. But the History section of the Lancaster webpage just confused me utterly: I think I need to check it out on Wednesday.
We stopped in Bridgemere on the way home and I bought a ton of art stuff, more Fimo and some glass paint outliner plus more watercolour and a 'paint-shaper' thingy which is fun. Only I need a spray thing for the bottle of fixative I bought and I haven't got one. -_- Fat lot of use that was. Still, I feel like painting tonight so I may do if my guilt doesn't get the better of me and make me write more LotV instead. Alternatively I could do neither and keep looking through some of the fascinating courses on the English section of Lancaster's website. Not sure what a Half Unit is, but it some of the stuff sounds very cool. Now if I could just understand the Creative Writing stuff....... I think I'll leave this until tomorrow when I'm more awake.
So I'm off to play wit my glass paint and I'll write tomorrow.
Love, peace and jelly babies!
