Three things have made me happy in the last few hours:
One, on Angel they were discussing what name to give Cordelia's "baby" (not saying any other spoilers) and Gunn suggested Helen. ^-^ It's always strange when your name comes up on TV, but kinda funny at the same time. My family just looked at me and I'm like 'what, I didn't write the script!' So that made me giggle.
Second. SFX, the Sci-fi + Fantasy magazine my brother gets? On the letters page, some woman had written in about the relationship between Clark and Lex making Smallville interesting - so they'd put a picture of Lex and Clark over a big pink heart with a caption something like "Lex and Clark - are they the *true* sweethearts of Smallville?" *dies* It's in print! I meant to make an icon of it but my brother's got the magazine in his room and he's asleep so I'll have to get it tomorrow. Still... *dies again*
Thirdly, I just watched the 'Unbreakable' dvd and man, that film ROCKS! I utterly didn't see the end coming. I didn't expect it to be a superhero movie either. It's brilliant. I used to have a grudge against Bruce Willis for *no* reason - I just didn't like him. Then I watched Sixth Sense and cried my eyes out. Then I watched him on Friends. And now, after Unbreakable, I've realised that he really isn't that bad. So that's good.
I've been working on Game:4 all day in bits and pieces and now I've actually got a direction it's easier to rewrite, though my brother has mostly stolen the computer today. Still, it's nice to be getting somewhere. The painting is doing well, despite several minor disasters today. Nothing I couldn't paint out and i's fine. Working on the dragon now which looks kinda weird with only one coat of paint. ^-^
I've realised that a picture is only finished when it stops looking bizarre to me - and that takes a *lot*.
My computer is refusing to download stuff at the moment. *growls* It's probably something to do with my settings and I'll complain to the brother tomorrow but right now I can't work out what I've done. Damned computer.
Well I'm off, possibly to bed after I've done another page on next month's feature for Planet Helen. I'll really have to start revising again in a few days. Smeh.
