Okay, I *wanted* to do English. All through high school, I *knew* I was going to do English in college. It was the one thing I actually knew was*positive*.
So why do I hate my English exams more than any other exam?
I've got my writing exam this afternoon (which is why I should be revising right now) and it's quite frankly, dull. You get to write two pieces which could be anything froma radio script to a newspaper article, then you have to write a commentary on one of them saying why you've said *that* and why *this* is a rhetorical device yadda yadda....... No creative writing at all - which is WHAT I want to do!! *screams* At least once I got going I actually enjoyed my Greek Comedy exam! And true the Psych one may be torture (solid writing for three hours = my hand dropping off) but at least the subject matter is interesting. English is, quite simply, mind-numbingly boring. I don't get it. *sighs* Still it's only an hour and 3/4 so I suppose I can deal. I'd better go revise in a minute.
Look at it this way; I have this exam this afternoon for 1hr 3/4, one exam next monday afternoon for 3hr and one Tuesday afternoon for, I think for 3hr. Then i'm off for two and a half weeks before my final two. I just have to get through the next six days and I'll be fine. Hah.
Okay, am off to actually revise now. Need to learn "rhetorical devices" and "what effect they have". They have the effect of making my brain hurt. Will the examiner accept that d'you think?
End of exam-related rant. Will try not to do it too often. OH! Buffy + Angel tonight. And Season finale of Scrubs. *sniffles* But Angel is getting very good lately. I think they're almost definitely having another season at least and SPIKE!!
*shuts up before she has to put in a spoiler cut*
Wish me luck on my exam! I tell you, the best thing about these exams in not having lessons in college. It's lovely. Although technically I *should* be having lessons, only I "revise" better at home. ^_~
