clo_againI cannot ever hear the word 'strudel' without thinking bad thoughts ever again. Bloody Rock, goddamn him.
Have realised the trouble with living in a girl's flat - the drama is unspeakable. We've already had late night homesickness tears, cancelled dates, unrequited love, more tears and... no bitch fights yet - and I hope there won't be - but I wouldn't take bets on there being none all year. I like everyone though. It'd be nice to share a house with at least some of them next year methinks.
Did I mention what happened the other night? We have a shiny security system because we're in the new buildings so people without a key can buzz the flats and speak through the intercom to get let in. The other night some guys buzzed the intercom at around 1am and those of us who were still up went to lean out the kitchen window to see who it was. The guys legged it away up the path and Agatha - one of the Cypriate girls - yelled really loudly after them, "ASSHOLES!" We almost fell out the windows laughing...
...Maybe you had to be there. It was funnier because we hadn't heard any of the Cypriates swear before. ^__^
And we just made flapjacks AGAIN. We are gonna get so fat. (Not to mention we keep running out of butter because we make so many flapjacks, heh.)
Our creative writing course KICKS ASS. We get to write ANYTHING. Anything we want or can think of. (They've told us it's the only Creative Writing course in the country that isn't actually an English course in disguise but they would say that ^__~) It's cool. Of course I managed to screw up in my first seminar but not majorly and people seemed to like what I wrote anyway. I need to write something and email it to the tutor by midnight a week tomorrow. Some of the people in the seminar sounded like they'd eaten a dictionary for breakfast every day for the last five years. o_O Only one guy came across as a little pretentious though, so hopefully we'll all get along fine. The Writer's Guild meeting I went to was a little more intimidating but I'll go again next week and see how it goes. One of the guys read a poem which was initially a bit dull, then as the discussion got going, it became fascinating. So it'll be worth checking out in future.
Plus the words 'fanfiction', 'LJ' and 'deviant art' were all mentioned during the meeting which means they're my sort of people. ^__^
Colds suck ass. -_- But having only one seminar tomorrow is fantastic. (And it's Philosophy so we get to discuss free will and the problems with time travel! ^___^) I have the entire afternoon to go shopping and clean my bathroom in case the woman comes up Thursday to pick me up. She'll go crazy if I haven't cleaned. *sighs*
We watched a bit of Back to the Future in Philosophy. SOCOOLOMG! :-D
In other news; it's raining again. Why am I not surprised?
I may fic for a while or go to bed, I'm knackered after five straight hours of seminars, lectures and meetings today. Veyr glad I had a lie in this morning. :-)
