Okay, everyone's seen the various incarnations of the "Every time you (insert any activity here), God kills a kitten" icons around LJ right? The phrase never really registered until I saw [livejournal.com profile] bastmoon's version - "Whenever someone votes for Bush, God kills a kitten."

Dude. o_O SAVE THE KITTENS!!

In other news, got my accomodation stuff today and the good news is, a) I got into the college I wanted which means, b) I'll be in the brand new accomodation which is spiffy. The bad news is the ten thousand forms I have to fill in to confirm it are frustratingly complicated. I tried for an hour or so then got too confused and quit. Because gggrrr. Will persuade 'rents to help later.

I have at *least* ten unfinished tennis slash fics sitting on my computer, getting gradually worked on. Am trying to finish at least a couple this weekend to post, but no promises. -_- Doesn't help that I've spent the last three days being a lazy ass and have accomplished nothing. And doesn't help that the 'small' plot bunny Merc gave me for one has turned into a several-thousand-word plot bunny. Dammit.

And I fly to Austria a week tomorrow.

*note to self*: Get your ass in gear girl.

But I have succeeded to making [livejournal.com profile] liroa15 watch tennis. Which makes me smug and gleeful. Converted Merc to tennis slash last week, Lirpa to watching tennis this week... am gradually infiltrating tennis into my f-list. Which makes me want to do the Dr. Evil laugh while rubbing hands together in evil/gleeful/insane manner. Mwahahahaha.

Ahem. Moving on...

This: http://www.villagevoice.com/issues/0409/conaway.php made me cry. Seriously. I don't know how anyone could read something like that and still fully support Bush. And for what little my voice counts, I want to say: You are a fucking asshole Bush. And the huge numbers of people you are condeming out of your own ignorant ideas are by far better than you. Go to hell Mr President and take your lap dog Tony Blair with you while you're at it.

Stupid fucking governments.

Am going to go eat flapjack and calm down now.

Ggggrrr.

I just defriended someone that I know in RL because they made a post about how inspiring Bush's speech was the other night. Disgusting.

I am literally afraid of what would happen if, god forbid, he should win.

I suppose I won't have much time to worry about it once he reinstates the draft.

wants to know what you think of a guy named Moya. She is crazy and obsessed and this is all your fault.

I'm literally terrified of him winning again. He's done enough damage for the last four years; I dread to think what he could do if he gets re-elected. I want to believe there's enough Americans out there who agree... (it's hugely frutsrating being anti-Bush but British and not able to vote against him) but every time I come across someone on his side I get worried.

And hell, if he does reinstate the draft every American on my f-list is welcome to leave the country and come crash on my sofa for as long as it takes for someone to assassinate him. That man should never have been allowed anything power over anything more than a teddy bear. And even then I feel sorry for the teddy.

Moya... Moya... I honestly can't say I know much about him. :-) I'm familiar with the guy and haven't heard anything against him - he's seeded *very* high - third isn't it? - but for some reason he seems to have escaped my notice so far. I'll make sure to keep an eye out for him in future. Unfortunately not the US Open it would seem though. *pets http://www.usopen.org/en_US for giving her all the up-to-date results*

And I'm spreading the tennis love. This is wonderful. *bounces happily* People who share my obsession!! Eee!! ^________^

*skips off to wait for Roddick's match tonight*

Poor sister. She had such high hopes. At least Federer and Roddick are still in the competion, which should make her happy.

Point out that Moya losing means a greater chance of a Roddick-Federer final. Which are the matches I live my life for. :-) So it's not all bad.

Don't know if it will work, but I shall try. Maybe the thought of being able to see both Roddick and Federerr at once will make her happier.

*nods* And the best part is... when they play each other, it doesn't matter who wins. I like 'em both so I'm happy no matter which one loses/wins. :-)

And mmm.... double eye candy.... ^__________^

It's hugely frustrating being an American, being ABLE to vote, and knowing that it may not do any good because just enough IDIOTS out there who will vote for him. This isn't even touching the fact that there will be no paper trail in several states (AHEM, FLORIDA) for the voting record, and chances are they'll be able to manipulate that HOWEVER THEY WANT. Not to mention manipulating the voter rolls in the first place (Florida, again... brother Jebby's got that in his pocket.)

Assassination wouldn't be the best idea. Then you'd have Cheney front and face. Not that he isn't half the brains besides the idiot already. I am hugely thankful that I have Irish citizenship and *CAN* leave the country and not have to worry about visas and such (not that I have any idea how they work.) I may not be running out to the streets of New York to protest there (I should've, but because it's the first week of class I didn't feel like wasting an entire day), but I will be more than happy to sit in jail for trying to dodge than to be sent into that cesspool he's created because he's got some fucked up imperialist ideas.

I would rant for ages on the subject, but it would be hypocritcal, being that I'd be acting like some liberal sheep who believes everything I hear that supports my case without doing any of the research on my own to back it up. All I can do right now is bitch and moan, and I'd be (mostly) preaching to the choir anyway.

Well I definitely need no convincing. Bush = bad news.

I guess we can only cross our fingers and *hope* a miracle happens. -_-
