Busy, busy, busy....
Mar. 18th, 2004 04:59 pmI have walking boots! :-D Finally! And i wasn't even expecting to get them today - I met the woman in town to open a new bank account but we forgot the forms so we went shopping instead and decided it couldn't hurt to check out the walking boots in Millets. So we looked and there was a v. expensive pair - £90 - and a less expensive pair - £50 - and I thought since I don't even know how much I'm going to walk right now, it was best to get the £50 pair. Which happened to be a pretty blue and grey. V. good. So yey! Am equipped walker! Much glee. I do however need new socks to go with them, but I love buying socks (name a colour/pattern sock and I've got it - rainbow, black & white striped, red & black checked...... sock fetish has I) so that's no big deal.
Was also tempted by many books in Waterstones. Picked up a Charles Dickens' one, 'The Old Curiosity Shop' which I found fascinating since it never clicked with me that this website (http://www.oldcuriosityshop.net/flashframe.html) was named after a Charles Dickens book. Meant to look for the Just So Stories but got side-tracked by a beautiful 'Dragonology' book which was really aimed at kids but was so beautiful I'm tempted to get it. £18 mind you, but.... pretty! Maybe next month. But I think I shall do more shopping tomorrow, for books and painting stuff. Maybe a new sketchpad. Hhhmmm. Methinks it's time to raid my local library for books again, since I can't really afford that many.
I have an essay to finish which if I do it in the next hour shouldn't take me long - just a few hundred words. Also have a bizarre Will/Wulf ficlet to edit and as always Jesus/Judas to work on. *contemplates* Essay first since it has to be tomorrow. I hope my brother gets more printer ink and paper like I asked him otherwise I'm buggered. *sighs* Have Classics stuff to print out too. I wish they'd just accept stuff handed in on CD - it would make my life *much* easier. And surely easier to carry than stacks of paper but eh...... whoever said teachers have to be logical?
Am off to do some work. Love, peace and jelly babies,
Clo
