Omelette Success #1...
Oct. 5th, 2003 11:51 pm... Cheese and Ham. My parents are away this week and since I'm generally incompetent when it comes to cooking, I'm going to be eating a *lot* of omelettes. However plain omelette is boring so I've decided to try something different on them every night - since tonight was the first night I thought I'd stick with something tried and tested and do simple cheese and ham. And it all worked out great, tasted great, didn't burn and I haven't yet dropped dead so I think it was a success. However tomorrow night my brother has challenged me to make a peanut butter one. >.< Is a peanut butter omelette *possible*?!! I'll find out tomorrow. Check back to see if I survive. The kitchen probably won't. ^___~
I FINISHED the PotC fic which now leaves me deliciously free to concentrate on Game and Lex muses until half term. I'm waiting for Eirual's opinion on it before I bother sending the pirate-fic anywhere else - it may yet need *more* editing. *passes out from all the editing* But if not I'll post links if it gets put up anywhere else.
I'm going to bed soon but first I'm trying to find this one damn Smallville fic I read a few weeks ago and can't remember what it was called. -_- I'll find it. It just may mean losing a bit of sleep. If I had a penny for every minute I've spent reading slash instead of sleeping..... then I probably wouldn't have to go to college tomorrow. *grin*
I've started reading Silence of the Lambs and so far I'm pretty surprised by how close the movie stuck to the book. The writing style is a little odd but I'm getting used to it and it's even cool in places. Still, haven't passed 100 pages yet so will reserve judgement until I'm at least more than half way through. I loved the film (and I know; you're supposed to read the book BEFORE watching the film.... but a friend of mine read Bridget Jones' Diary before watching the film and said the movie disappointed her whereas I read the book after watching the film and loved both of them so maybe it's not always a good idea) and I quite enjoyed Hannibal too so I'm looking forward to reading the rest of it.
Now. The Smallville fic. *goes in search*
Love, peace and jelly babies,
Clo
