So tonight I went to see Much Ado About Nothing with Catherine Tate and David Tennant for a second time. Yes, I know I said that I couldn't see how but there's a ticket lottery and I thought I'd try and they pulled out my number and so, third row tonight.

I'm so glad I went. It was even better the second time. I spent the entire Tube ride home grinning like a joyful idiot because not only was the play wonderful but I stage-door stalked and Tennant signed my script copy (CT didn't come down our way but we're re-stalking Friday so hopefully I can get it double-signed) and stood less than a foot from me and watched me try to make a lovely Israeli girl's camera focus to get a picture of them and was generally wonderful and oh. TENNANT.

And amongst the joyful flailing that I want to do and don't have time for right now, I have one particular quote that I noticed tonight (I can't remember if it's an actual play-quote or if they've added it but I'm pretty sure it's in the original text because I have vague memories of discussing what it meant in class) was, when Beatrice is talking about Benedick with Don Pedro, they say:

DON PEDRO: Come, lady, come, you have lost the heart of Signior Benedick.

BEATRICE: Indeed, my lord, he lent it me a while, and I gave him use for it, a double heart for a single one...

If anyone thought the Doctor wasn't right for this part? Yeah, William Shakespeare disagrees with you.

I have to go to bed now because tomorrow I have to get up early for Cardiff and then idek where I'm supposed to be. There is Wimbledon at some point. And queueing. And hopefully sleep. I really need to stay in one place for a bit after this week, I think.

(I stood less than a foot away from David Tennant tonight. And am hopefully going to do it again on Friday. Life is awesome.
