clo_again

Once again it's a fine sunny day in Australia and I'm in Canberra with mayakitten. Today we're doing the museum (one of them anyway) and tonight there's AFL on the TV so I'm getting introduced to what my Bill Bryson book has deemed "loosely controlled mayhem". There's going to be popcorn and probably some boggling on my part when I have no idea what's going on. Should be fun. :D

I'm also trying to sort out my itinerary to finally send to my parents and I keep coming across gaps where I have no idea what I'm doing. (And all my NZ hostels that still need booking. -_- Must sort a few of those today). Like, I had a very helpful Australian guide book which told me all the transport options in the cities and how to get to airports and such. Yeah I left it at home because it was too heavy. -_- Genius idea, not. So I'm going to be googling Brisbane aiport at some point because damned if I'm going to miss my NZ flight.

acityofwonder, did we decide that I'd meet you on the 22nd at the Roma Street bus station, then come back to yours? I'm thinking it's probably easier to get to the airport from Brisbane, so if I stay at yours until the 27th-ish then head back to a hostel in the city ready to catch my flight on the 30th? I should probably sort it before Sydney in case of internet woes, though I'm pretty sure I'll be paying the wireless internet surcharge for my hostel anyway. :)

Now I really have to go and get dressed ready for some Australian culture. And coffee. Canberra has lots of gorgeous-looking coffee shops which I suspect will need investigating at some point. Mmmmm.
